my blood sugar is at 12.9 never had it that high usually i have it under control but not with this predesone im taking at what level should i get worried
Hi there. I understand your concern. Blood sugar will raise when taking prednisone for usually 4 to 8 hours after taking them. I WOULD call your doctor about a reading of 12.9. You may need temporary treatment while you are being treated with prednisone. But your doctor should guide you! Blood sugar levels usually return to normal 1 to 2 day after stopping the prednisone treatment.
