Hello and welcome to the forum. Typically this is a fasting test in which you are supposed to have a certain number of hours before consuming food. Usually, fasting begins at midnight for a test the next day. Your sugar by the standards of your lab states it was high on your first test. The repeat is normal. I am not sure if that was a fluke. I'd probably get it checked in another 6 months to see where you are at.
