CA125 increase and new liver cysts

I had sx in 2006 to remove ovca.  Lately I have not been feeling well. Swelling in my legs on and off, chest pain and fatigue. Had blood test and my liver enzymes were elevated.  Also my thyroid was high.  Had us of liver today and was told I have cysts in my liver, but no details.  My question about ca 125.  In 2006 when I had sx my # was 19.2 in Oct '06 - 12.6, Jan '07 - 9.6, August '07 - 9.4, Jan '08 - 9.6.  Now it is 16.  These things all have me wondering if my cancer is back.  The doctor thinks I am being silly about my CA 125 because it is still in normal range, but it was in the normal range all along.  The thing I hate the most about this entire thing is that it is such a wait and see what happens.  And because chances are that cysts are not cancer you seem like a paranoid hypocondriac when you worry.  I have 4 childern.  My youngest is 6.  I just want to be sure that I am doing everything to make sure I am around for a long time for them.  So, any info or help you can give me would be great!  Thanks!

I understand how you feel about your rising ca-125, although it is very well in normal range the slight rise always gets us worrried.  Do what your body and mind tells you...if you have not been feeling well lately and the cyst on liver with combination of a slight rise in ca-125, request a CT scan.  Your doing the right thing by thinking of your kids so tell the doctor what you want.  Take care

I agree with hazel and ask for a CT scan.  Not everyones ca-125 elevates with a recurrence, but you feel poorly and I would want that checked out.  ~~~Joanne
