Diagnosed with Pcos over 20 years ago and now in my early 40s. Have had symptoms of perimenopause for over a year with excessive unexplained weight gain, sleepless nights, night sweats, anxiety and depression, itchy dry skin etc. one gp I spoke to said that a hormone blood test was pointless as the Pcos would not show an accurate result but a different gp then insisted on it. The blood test came back as requiring no action so now I don’t know what to think. Could the blood test show normal with Pcos but still mean I have perimenopause?
