how do i know if i can breast feed?

hi ladies im 18weeks on sat and was wondering how do i no iv i can breast feed.... from day 1 i have said i wanna breast feed but i have a hormone unbalance and am worrying that i wont be able to friends and family brought it up and have put doubt in my mind about it  .... my breasts have grown a cup size and do ache sometimes ..

You won't know until you try, but we're built for it! :-)  it takes a little work, but usually by the time your baby is a month old you've got the rhythm and the ability!

There is also a breastfeeding forum and the ladies over there can answer specific questions and are very supportive too.  I breastfed all three of mine and so glad I did.  Read a lot about it and educate yourself.  Breastfeeding has lots of benefits for baby and mom too! Do you take any medications for ur hormonal imbalance? If so, just talk with ur doc abt safe meds to take while breastfeeding . You won't know how well breastfeeding goes for u until u try hun. But honestly I don't see why u couldn't. :-)
