While you can find apples year round, now is the time to buy (or pick) them fresh off the tree. Apples are always packed with filling fiber, which can help you slim down without going hungry. In one Penn State study, people who ate one apple fifteen minutes before lunch took in fifteen percent fewer total calories, which could add up to significant weight loss over the long run.
Try: As a snack (plain or dipped in natural peanut butter), chopped into salads.
