Ouch! What Bug Just Bit You?

Black Widow Bite

Black Widow Bite

The black widow’s bite is distinguished by the two puncture marks it makes in the skin. Its venom produces pain at the bite area that then spreads to the chest, abdomen, or the entire body. It can be poisonous. While you should seek medical attention if you’ve been bitten by a black widow or brown recluse, their bites are rarely lethal.
