I have had for 25 years, live in NY. Ice packs help somewhat. At one time duloxetine actually got rid of my itch, but sadly no longer works for me.
have you found a cure for Brachioradial pruritus? I notice the blog is from 2009.
Just a quick note to say hi!
saw another doctor and agreed on giving me the gabapentin 100 mg x 4 a day, plus a shot of steroids and then pills of prednisone 20 mg x 3 a day for 3 days, 2 for 7 and 1 for 7 days. then i also got a topical cream of triamcinolne/lubriderm to put on areas of itch/rash. its only been two days ... but have to wait til at least early january to get into a dermotologists office. soaked in aveeno oatmeal bath - that kind of helped. next is to wash my sheets and pjs etc in "no-scent laundry soap" - she said it is possible to get allergies to laundry soap even if you have used for a long long time. so i'll check back in a week or so and see how it goes.
Wow this is so great to read about this and find out I am not insane. I am 36 as well (live in southern OH), very active, and 5 years ago in late July my right arm started itching...I had been on vacation in FL for a couple weeks and thought it must be some type of sun poisoning (I'm a redhead) but it lasted thru December. Didn't think much more about it until it came back again the next year late summer/early fall, and every year since. So far, has always just been my right arm from about elbow up to shoulder and just randomly goes away after several months....now that I have a better idea what it must be, can do a little more research. Good luck.
I just got an email from a doctor in New Zealand. She recommended looking at pubmed.com. Its an informative site. the more information the better. Hope things get better! best wishes with the baby.
