Hello Jannie, had my ablation today so far so good I see the Dr. In a month he is keeping me on metoprolol 50mgs for now. Hope all is well with you and yours......Brad.
I'm having a much better day today. I have more energy and the sun is shining.
I've had enough happy distractions to stop me focusing onmy heart and it tells me when it wants me to have a rest.
hi. I went in for ablation but they couldn't do it due to putting a sheath into the artery instead of the vein. So would of been too risky to carry on. So feeling abit dissapointed but also very glad they stopped. Right leg aches alot but least i'm home to chill now. Hope u r well.x
hi. that's fantastic to hear about the five year cancer free anni as well as your ablation sucess! i think things are definately going very well for you and i hope you really go crazy on the hike! Hopefully my ablation will also be a success and i can also go hiking at some point. At the moment i go on country side walks, but avoid hills. can be a right pain, lol. I will keep you all updated. Don't know if you have come across Jules on here but she is also going in for her ablation on Friday, so it has really helped having someone else on here to go through each day with as well as the rest of you who can offer support and advice. so thanks again and i will chat to you soon x
Hello. I'm feeling very nervous about Friday now. I think i will be a nervous mess on thursday night and fri morning.lol I just want to go and get it done with. Trying to keep busy at work and have been out with friends and the boyfriend alot, takes my mind of it all abit. How are you anyway?
hi. I just wanted to say that i have read your journals about your ablation and it has made me feel alot better about having mine in a couple of weeks time. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jannie, hope you are well. I had my ablation on wednesday 4 days ago, I was told it was a success - AVNRT. I really am surprised at how I feel, expected to be really rough. I dont remember much from the procedure just waking up when they induced the SVT but I was put straight back to sleep. Wish I hadnt worked mself up so much. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and reply with such useful words. take care :-)
Just a quick note to say hi! Good to hear that you're doing well. I'm doing fine too. Occasional skip here and there, then will disappear for days. Still have occasional little runs of tachycardia, but it's only a few beats and then drops out on its own. Good to see you on here. and take care.
Just a quick note to say hi! I saw your post after not seeing you on recently. Hope your heart has settled down,a nd your doing well! ~Tom~
Thank you so much and I am so sorry about your father as well :( Never knew just how hard it could be. I used to imagine losing a parent but wow, the reality is just awful. We are doing ok though, I just talk to him a lot and cry when I need to.
And I am so happy your ablation was a success. To be freed from that monster must just be liberating! Big hugz back, and please do stay in touch :)
Just a quick note to say hi! the last couple of months has bee hectic with 2 surgeries and a across country move I hope all is well with you
Just a quick note to introduce myself: My name is Yolanda and I just moved to Dallas, TX. How are you feelling?
I start school tomorrow. The kids start on Wednesday. Kinda getting anxious the new group of kids. Good luck in you job pursuits, I know you'll be successful in whatever you do.
Haven't seen you for while. Hope all is well.
Yeah its been 3 months and 2 days since I got discharged...I'm actually dieting and exercising as well trying to keep myself healthy, now I can actually exercise without feeling unwell so yeah everything's going according to plan now :) so glad to hear that your ablation was successful :) and that your feeling so well :) the world feels like such a happy place today :) xx

p.s your story is very touching :)
Hope all is well with you,
Love Hanna xx
Just checking in with you and seeing how you're doing?????
So.....how are you doing?
Feeling better today. Went to the doctor yesterday for follow up. A bit frustrated with myself and the doctor. I felt like he rushed in and out with little explanation of the ablation or the concern about the hematoma, and myself for not asking more questions.
Hi ! I read your "bio" and I am SO happy for you and so proud of you. Keep up the good work. You are doing amazingly !
Just a quick note to say hi! Hi Jannie Did the link work for you?
I think on days you feel like sleeping, you just need to sleep. Your body must need it. Is is hot in RI? That zaps my strength. Hope you feel better.
Just a quick note to say hi =) which post? I'm going to look now but my brain's a bit fuzzy today...
Just a quick note to say hi!
Doing well and the breathing is finally better, it took 5 wks! Swimming and walking to get back
to going before school starts. How are you and what are you up to?
Just a quick note to say hi! I'm reluctantly taking meds for acid reflux but I'm trying to figure it out the natural way if possible. How are you doing? My weight thing is at a stand still, kinda frustrating. I've decided to try for just a tiny each week water that is and if I get more I'll be happy.
Just a quick note to say hi! Thank you Jannie with all my broken heart!! Love, Deb
Just a quick note to say hi! for me and I still think it is possible. Perhaps the skill level of the guy in Boston will allow me to have this. My old EP - the one that retired, was very confident it would cure me. I'm not even looking for a cure, but a reduction. My holter the other day showed 19K in 24 hours. The is the most I have ever had. Dr. Hyder was questioning whether or not they were PACS (like the dopes in SK said they were) or PVCS. Someone read and reported on the monitor that Dr. Hyder said was not very intelligent. He confirmed what I thought of this cardiologist office from the beginning - not very sophisticated. If I sound grouchy, I don't mean to be, but I am discouraged, but I did like Dr. Hyder very much and will be his patient for now
Just a quick note to say hi! Hi Jannie! Yes, I saw Dr. Hyder and got lots of information. He tells me that I am not a good candidate for ablation right now. I was very disappointed. I guess my pvcs have gotten worse and have become multifocal and deep tissue. He said my holter monitor that the cardiologist did the other day was a waste because it was misread wrong. He wants to repeat it in a month and have it read by a very good outside lab with good doctors. I knew my cardiology office down in SK was a little "rinky dink". So for now I am going to follow his plan. He had some other suggestions too, he was very nice and will be a good resource for me, but I still think I am going to go to the Big Wig in Boston in September. For years I have heard that ablation is a good option
Hi Jannie. The arrhythmia disappeared the following day, but it's back with a vengeance and driving me crazy. Cardiologist may put me on an antiarrhythymic. Feeling pretty low.
The choc. shake was great and added peppermint flavoring to it as well.
Had no problems, can't wait for another tomorrow!!!
Peppermint in a choc. shake!! What a great idea!
Well, I'm going to go try this chocolate thing! The Dr. had no
restrictions as far as chocolate is concerned, but my body
has told me differently in the past. I feel experimental.......
I'll get back to ya!!!
Just a quick note to say hi! Jannie, I had to wear it for 24 hours. I haven't gotten the results from my cardiologist yet. The group I go to down here in South Kingstown is a little low tech and rinky dink. I'd rather everything get sent to Dr. Hyder. Because this arrhythmia this time has been so bad, my mind is wandering and I am so worried I may have other problems, like MVP. I know intellectually that I just have anxiety. I have no reason to believe anything is more serious than pacs and pvcs, I just had a stress echo in March - normal, 2 years ago I had an echo and stress test - normal. Also I have no shortness of breath, dizziness, or unusual tiredness. But my mind is getting the better of me as I feel this thunder storm in my chest each day...
I saw that on Dr. Oz too about the 30gm of protein.
I found a shake at Cosco that has 30 gm of protein, and 1gm of sugar per shake. Its just called protein, a11 oz. high protein shake. Trying to see if Sam's has it.
They have it in vanilla, but I could only get chocolate today. Kind of afraid to drink chocolate with the
heart getting over the ablation. Not sure if the caffeine will affect the heart much. Guess I'll find out
