Dear Nan, I am so happy for you and hubby. You two have been through hell and back. HUGS!! D
Just read your fantastic SVR news! CONGRATS!
Oh Nan, I hope those days go quickly and like you I hope the fluid will go away once off tx. I am praying for you, hoping that this will work and you both will have many more years together. I know what it feels like and my heart goes out to you, Dee
Thinking of you and hubby as he recovers from the femur break and now on Harvoni. I pray that this time will be the one. My thoughts and prayers are with you both, Dee
Thanks for the note yeah I kinda figure if I can make SVR and Hector and so many others can make SVR it is a very good sign for your husband too! Hoping he feels better every day and has as easy of a treatment as he can. Hoping he can join the ranks of the hep c cured soon! Best to you both. Lynn
I am sorry to hear about your husband. I am hoping this treatment will cure him of his hep C and put at least that behind him. I am doing better myself and hoping that next year that maybe I could at least work part time? Time will tell. I still do my volunteer work at my transplant center and also involved in a advanced cancer group as well. Take care. Howie
been thinking about you and you Husband a lot this past week. You both are in my daily prayers! I am concerned. I hope all is progressing.
Love and Blessings, Pat

Thinking about you, Nan, and your husband. I still have not started Harvoni yet but will in a few weeks. From all accounts, easier to deal with than previous treatments so hope to hear soon that your hubby will be joining me. Such wonderful news from those recently SVR

Dear Nan, I am thinking of you hoping all is well with you and yours.
Dear Nan, I am so very sorry to hear of your husband's fall. It sounds awful. Please keep in touch. I know everyone will want to know how he is. I hope you are ok. Dee
Praying for you and your husband, hoping Harvoni will cure him, my best, Dee
Dear Nan, sending prayers and best wishes your way!
Does it look like husband will be able to get treated again soon or will he have to wait? Just to share with you a bit of my own experience with taking a 3 drug cocktail for six weeks, although it was great to have it be over with so quickly, taking 3 PI's for me was a challenge. I think taking two PIs at this point might be more tolerable for those with cirrhosis. I have had gall bladder and pancreas sensitivities for the last ten years or so and taking 3 drug cocktail seemed to cause a bit of extra pain in that area. I remember saying to someone at one point "at least I only have 1 -1/2 weeks to go which was my only saving grace.
Hope all is going well. We are stable right now .don't see you or hector on here but am thinking of you and your family.
Just a quick note to say hi how's it going?this year is flying by with all our ups and downs. Hope all is going well.thinking of you guys and sending my best.

You deserve a big bear hug! I am sorry to hear about your husband's result. Like you wrote, it was not unexpected, but you and us all were hoping for SVR for your husband. It was good he got a break from the virus. I hope the next Tx is more successful for him. Hugs.... Sandi
Thank you, I think everything is coming along I am finally walking again so that is a plus. I am trying to be grateful for the positives and not dwell on the negative, not easy but I am making a concentrated effort. Hope you and hubby are doing well
Thank you Nan! You're the best. Dee
Happy to see the good news about your hubby !
Thank you Nan. Feeling scattered, bit scared & tremendously free from my own apathetic bondage~ due to the pointedly caring questions you asked. Easy to sense you are a friend & asset to many in forum. Best to you & hubby~ Praying for his FULL recovery!
My prayer~ to get in action~ to give much to many
You are in my thoughts and prayers. It sounds as if your husband is a fighter. I am sure that he will beat this. at the least, remain in remission. you are awesome to be there swinging for him when he can't. god be with you and watch over you.
In 2005 I went through 50 weeks of Ribavirin 500mg with Interferon injections 2 times a week. Lost my hair and felt as though I had a terrible case of flu for 50 weeks. I did lose 30 pounds. In 2009, I did the pegatron injections, 1 time a week, with again 500 mg;s of ribavirin also 3 pills at a time, 2 times a day, kept hair and lost 22 pounds. I have kidney damage, legally blind, multiple tia's, memory loss, hypertension, IBS, muscle and joint pain, headaches, and a constant ringing in mt ears. The medications ate the bone marrow of my awesome straight teeth. Dentures are a pain. But better than the alterative.Sick to stomach every minute of every day. Fatigue is hard to handle. I just am one of those people. my treatments, should had been stopped.
I really pray this is working for him. as for myself a false negative after 3 mo's of treatment. finished, then tested positive with high viral load 3 months afterwards. twice I did the treats. sick as Hades. Internal damage due 2 treats. body can't handle more. I am a low % that this happens to. I pray it continues to be undetected. a total remission for him. Blessings and prayers.
Thinking of you and hubby. I admire you both
It sounds like your hubby is in the hospital due to low platelets and HE? Keep me posted. Wishing the best for both of you.
Have you looked into this trial as a possibility for your husband?
Wow nan, bless you guys!! I'm so sorry. I've read many of your posts, but this really gave me a better understanding. He was undetected for 8 months. Gosh I I'm so sorry. Praying next round will do it! Very best to you both! Kitty
Hi Nan, I agree with you. We are grateful to be here to fight the battle another day too! Keep me posted on your hubby's recovery from transplant and what his docs recommend to fight the virus.
