Just a quick note to say hi!

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I am quite the mess between thyroid and hormonal insanity! My vitamin D level is practically non-existent so my doc put me on a time-release 50,000 IU each week. I eat better than anyone I know, take my vitamins every day and exercise 1 hour 20 minutes 5 days a week. These things aren't supposed to happen to people like me!!!! Not. What thyroid support supplements do you take? Thank youi!
Just a quick note to say hi! I loved the "Howard Dean Girlie Scream" analogy! Thanks for the laugh!
Smiley to you.... Everything is good here. Same old same old, actually, but 50% steady here and 50% steady the other place, and hubbs got a year-around job too (woohoo, I'm a straight through hobby-widow who can't cook food on my own). Colorful - this time of year is fantastic even if it's cold for fingers and toes :D How are you and yours doing??? Lots of love & hugs
Just a quick note to say hi!

Thank you for everything!
Hi I have Hep C 1A and failed TX in Nov 08, still having side effects from tx and just read your post regarding cryoglobulinea in July. Thank you so much for posting that. My Hep doc kept saying I did not have cryoglobulinea cause if I did I would not have qualified for the Roche Trial as this is an immune problem. I believe him however several other docs wanted me to be tested for the cryo and I just got results. I have no idea what this will mean. I have to go back to the doc to find out. I am very happy that you are Hep C free. I am a 2/4 was not aware that it was harder for a 4 to SVR, I was UND at 8 weeks but relapsed 5 weeks after tx stopped. Now waiting for a new tx in 2011
Take care and God Bless you for the info
Dear MedicMommy ,
Thank you for getting back to me with your thoughts .I know what your saying , just had a lot of hope . Trusting God , That`s all I have for now, Thank you again ,
Hope you feel better soon! hOPE THE HEART ISSUE STRAIGHTENS OUT...soRRY TO HEAR YOUR GOING THRU THIS NOW..
YOUR IN MY PRAYERS..PLEASE COME BACK AND LET US KNOW HOW YOU ARE.
Thanks for your note of Nov 27th,
I appreciate it! I am learning so much on this board, I feel much better prepared to begin treatment than I did before finding this place.
Treatment Finished 12-9-09--- 6 long months, but worth it.
None of those things was a tip-off. Finished menopause 3 years ago. I still had uterine fibroids (estrogen-driven problem) and they completely disappeared shortly after TX started, so I am guessing zero estrogen = bone loss. My D was in the low end of normal but Ca levels great and always have been. No aches on TX or any other indication that bones were being affected. It's frustrating to have all this crazy auto-immune stuff since no doctor is able to see beyond their narrow specialization and even try to figure out how TX affects health. Going to give an endocrinologist a shot at it. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Saw your post. Anything more to share about hormone levels? Know mine were low because some hormone-related problems disappeared during TX. Did yours eventually return to normal levels? Suffering bone loss and looking for some indication that things might return to normal if hormones rise again.
Happy belated Birthday! HUGS
Congratulations! Time for a celebration... I too have been non detectable as of week 22 now on week 48 have been so lucky as i was never sick. haven't been on the site 2 share
12 week result.......................UNDETECTABLE!!!!!! HCV RNA PCR Quant <43 , will continue next 2.5 months treatment, after that Doc said 6 months clean thereafter =CURED. Thanks for all your help and support, any questions please ask.
This is my 3 1/2 month report: Treatment is tough, but manageble. 4 week result tommorow. Will post results. Sleep is # 1 concern (Taking Ambien). Hemoglobin staying steady(around 13) WBC and RBC have been out of range most of tratment, along with hematocrit, mch, platelet count, lymphocytes, and absolute neutrophil. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone test came back normal, Liver tests have shoul gradual decreasing levels the past three months to the normal range, last test result for liver enzymes showed slightly elevated levels of ALT-78 and AST-63 , I wonder if that is from the increased amount of tylenol? Will see Doc Tuesday. Hope you are doing great.
Congratulations! Time for a celebration...
My original viral load was 1800000 , i week of treatment 18000 viral load major drop!!!! Type 2b genome, Inteferon and Ribivirin. Looks like Iam on the road to recovery. Praise God
It's too delicious to complain about this heat but actually now I'm about to file a major complaint to the weather-gods! We had a tropical rain shower yesterday but that's the only water we've had in 2 weeks. The EMS is overloaded with heat-exhaustions, sunstings, faintings and sadly enough drowning. Only for July there has been 4 drowning-vics. It is scary what heat drives people to! My daughter and I have been bathing each day in the fjord but 2 days ago my hip locked up so I'm not going out very deep for a while. Wouldnt' want to do that adventure again. She's got 6 more weeks of summer holidays. Lucky her!
Thinking of you in this summer heat. How have you been doing lately? Just did some PHTLS updates and am down to two jobs. Greetings from the land of the fjords....
I am starting 180 peginterferon alfa-2a PEGASYS, and 1200mg ribivirin Tablets 6/25/09...Thanks for all your help!!
Just got first liver biopsy Portal inflammation Grade 2 , Fibrosis Stage 2 Comment: There are two portal areas that are greatly expanded by firosis and show early extension into the hepatic parenchyma, but no bridging fibrosis is seen.
Thanks, MM. I am doing fine and enjoying the break from TX. Actually, I haven't felt this well in two years! Looking forward to round 2. Hope all your patients are on the Slim Fast diet! - Brent
Just a quick note to say hi! also that was a very imformative post you left for my buddy "h man" .where have you been since I started 14 weeks ago ? lol well thanks again people like you that arent afraid to type ,are a blessing bob
