Had second blood test today, get results tomorrow.  I am hoping this one sticks!!  Love ya honey!!  XOXO

Not yet.  If I were coming I would be leaving you messages like crazy!  It would be so great to meet you in person!!  My friend that has a condo there has not gone in quite a while, so we haven't gone yet.  I am still hoping to get there before Christmas.  How are things?  All is well here...Ryder is growing like a weed.  It's so scary how fast it goes by.  XOXOXO  A.

Just a quick note to say hi!  So fabulous to hear from you, I was thinking about you!!  I am going to finally be in Scottsdale Arizona  (with Ryder), and am so hoping we can have lunch or something.  Not sure of dates yet, but most likely late Sept., early Oct. My best friend has a condo there so will be staying with her. Please tell me we can meet half way or something...I would so love to meet you in person.  XOXO  Amanda

I'm fine whatever happens - really.  This whole process has made us question why we even did it in the first place.  We are so happy with just our little princess and feel thankful that we have her and that she is healthy.  We feel lucky.  We will be able to give her everything including all of our attention which is priceless to a child.  It would be nice for her to have a sibling but I am not sure at what expense - this has been very stressful.  If it ends up being multiples I am not really "fine" with that but decided if it happens dh will have to hire a nanny to help and that is that!!  A singleton would be best but none is OK too.  It could turn out OK but I just don't feel pregnant.

First I have to find out if the HCG is doubling or not.  I will have those results on Monday.  Then I guess in 2 more weeks would be the ultrasound.  Don't even say the word "two" - if there are two will you visit me in the looneybin??

Don't freak out - you'll freak me out!!  If it works out it will be so good for Izzy.  This really was for her, not us.  She's a little shy now and only wants to play with mommy - even at the park and mommy looks silly crawling through tubes and going down slides!!  It will be so nice for her to have a sibling - maybe in a few years I will get a little break!!

I know, we are done TTC after this whatever the outcome is.  We are thankful enough for our little Izzy.   I only have 2 or 3 TV ultrasounds left - YES!!  I think I had about 12 in the last month!!  Plus at least 50 injections (and one per day ongoing) and I can't even tell you how many blood draws!  My arms look awful!!  I wonder what my neighbors think!!

Still a long way to go and a high risk of m/c being 40y but we'll see what happens.  It's just nice to see that second line after all those freakin injections and vaginal ultrasounds!!  A little payback anyways!!

Oh I know a few days ago I was terrified they'd freeze a bunch of embryos that would never get used by us and I'd have major guilt the rest of my life!!  Lord know we only want one more child, not 7!!  This is much better in that sense!!  Fresh cycles are more successful than frozen anyways - just harder on the woman!!  Thanks for thinking of me though - I'll let you know when we know!!

It's not a big deal but if they have extra perfect embryos that they did not transfer they will freeze them and then if this IVF did not work and I wanted to try again it would be an easier cycle for me since I would not have to go through the stimulation phase.  Most people don't get any to freeze so I should not be surprised.  We transferred two embryos on Tuesday.  No symptoms or anything so far but it is way early.

I think transfer is tomorrow but I am waiting for the call.  We only signed for 3 day transfer which would be tomorrow - not 5.  Doc did not seem interested in the 5dt.  Not sure if it is because I am an old cooter or what!!!  He said some clinics do more 5dt to up their success numbers but they also have more multiples which I DO NOT want!!  IVF is weird - I still can't quite wrap my brain around it - there are so many issues.  I'll be glad when it is over.

I know - I hear you.  I had a strange thought today that we have 20 little children in the lab right now.  I hate that thought and that was one reason I did not want to do this!  I don't like interfering with mother nature but I had to for Izzy and this was our only real viable option left to give her a sibling!!  Believe me our doc will be lucky if I let him implant even 2 embies.  He said 3-4 - we said 1!!!  Then he said OK 1-3??  I don't want multiples much less 20 kids!!  Not sure how many are still alive today though - waiting for a call.

Thanks Sharon!  This better work for us because this is it for trying for us.  I don't want to do this again - my ovaries are like grapefruits!!  I'm getting too old for this stuff even if my ovaries are like an ATM egg machine!!  I hate to say it but I am also not looking forward to being pregnant again even though my pregnancy with Izzy was great.  I just feel it will be harder this time.  I'm nervous I guess even though I  know all will be fine if it does work.  I'll be glad when it is over whichever way it works out!!!

hahaha - Izzy is a little schizo too!  Yelling at me one minute then pinching my cheeks and kissing my face the next!  It's hilarious.  Like she doesn't even remember that she was having a major meltdown 5 seconds ago!  It's crazy but I do love it!!

I do appreciate everything my MIL does for us.  She is pretty much the only person we have to ever help us with Izzy and she will be indispensible when we start in vitro.  But I just don't understand how a child can change so much over 2 days.  A week ago she LOVED her baths every night - never ever a fight over the bath.  Now I have to physically lay her in the bath kicking and screaming the whole time.  What the heck happened??  She also loved to get dressed and now she only wants her jammies or a diaper.  It's just so weird - what the heck happened at Grandma's???? lol!

Rhett is such a sweetie!  Izzy is actually in a difficult stage right now.  Having lots of fits.  She stayed 2 nights at my inlaws and came back ruined!!  We have had to deprogram her from so many things!  I hope this is just a stage but lately she fights everything - diaper changes, getting dressed, eating, sleeping, everything.  I still adore her and she is still a love 90% of the time but that other 10% is exhausting!  I do melt everytime she calls for "mommy" though. It is so cute!

Thanks for the note.  It's really not that bad - we will move on to IVF now if my insurance OKs it.  Then at least we can say we tried everything.  At 40y you can't expect much in terms of pregnancy chances anyways and we have a couple extra hurdles to go over.  This will maximize our chance though.  I will be happy when it is all over though.  At least by August I should be able to say we are DONE trying.  I need the closure and ability to move on.  I can't stay in limbo forever.  How was Rhetts party?  What was the theme?

Just a quick note to say hi!  Hi Honey, thanks for the note.  I can't believe Rhett is 2....time goes by too fast doesn't it.  Ryder is 6 weeks old today and is changing so quickly.  All is well, just trying to teach him night from day...lol.  It's all good though and he is fantastic.  Hope all is well with you and your family.  Chat with you soon!!  XOXO

It probably just means that I didn't ovulate on the good side.  The only frickin month we had half a chance since September.  So far each time I ovulated on the left (good side) I got a cyst.  I knew our chances were over this morning when AF showed but then I went in for a baseline u/s to start another cycle and they found the cyst.  Now it means birth control pills for 3 weeks minimum.  Then we can do another cycle or just stay on the pill until we do IVF if we go down that road.

Hey Sharon, How are you doing??  These days I never seem to get more than a couple minutes at a time on the internet.  I miss catching up with you.  How is Rhett doing?  Did you do anything special for his birthday?  We just did a little party at the house with my sister and her kids and grandpa. Jacob cried when we sang happy bday but other than that, he loved it.  We went through a little adjustment but have settled in pretty well. Jacob loves his baby brother, and I can tell Nathan loves him right back.  Hope you are doing well. hannah

Thanks Sharon. He is my heart and soul I tell you.  I still just stare at him and can't believe he is really ours.  It felt so unreal for the first two weeks...I kept waiting for his parents to come pick him up...lol.  We are settling in now and I am more relaxed about taking care of him...realized he won't break or stop breathing on me.  Now I am just enjoying..he changes a little each day. He is getting so big already!!  How is Rhett and the rest of your family doing?  Hope things are well.  Thinking of you as always...Amanda

Thanks Sharon.  I am still torn on the issue but going forward anyways.  It would be good for Izzy to have a sibling and playmate - so I wouldn't have to be playing with Little People for the next 10 years like I do now!! lol! :)  Now just debating if we should do IVF if my insurance OKs it.  How is that little cutie of yours doing??

Hey you!!!  Actually, my gut tells me he will be early. Not really sure why I feel that way..maybe just wishful thinking?  I am so dying to meet this little guy.  I will post nursery pics soon.  Actually a close girlfriend of mine is a photographer and she is going to do maternity photos of Warren and I in the nursery on Sat.  I am excited as I really wanted to have some professional ones done.  I will post those soon.  I am on maternity leave now...weird to be off work until January 2011!!  But I am so grateful I get a year off...just thinking about leaving him I get stressed out...lol.  How are you and your family doing?  Always thinking about you!! Thanks hon.  It's still so mind boggling...when you have spent so much time wrapped up in conceiving and worrying, it's hard to imagine it's real.  Only 8 weeks left...I can't believe it!!  You have been such a supportive friend and I appreciate you so much.  Wanted you to know that.  How is your little man doing these days?  I love looking at his pics, he is a handsome little guy isn't he.  You have a beautiful family!!  XOXO

Hey Sharon!!  Great to hear from you.  I checked out your profile page the other day to see if there was anything new and you hadn't posted in so long, I was wondering where you were.  How's things?  I love Rhett's pics in the pumpkin patch, he is getting sooo big.  I am doing great...I can't believe how fast time is going by.  Getting a bit nervous though..lol.  (((Hugs))))

Hey Sharon.. I love your pumpkin patch pictures. Last week we tried to go twice and got rained out. DH is working a lot and every time he has the day off it is cold and rainy.  He is off tomorrow and again the forecast is for rain. Since I didn't get to do anything with Jacob all summer, going to the pumpkin patch had extra meaning for me, but we just aren't getting a break on the deal. Anyway, how have you been? I read some of the other notes to you and it sounds like something was wrong. Were you sick or was it your work?

It's OK - not too big a deal.  I would rather stop this cycle and induce AF rather than have a miscarriage from ovulating so late.  I love my RE - we are totally on the same page.  It will happen and if it doesn't it is OK because I already won the lotto with my Izzy! :)  Thanks for the warm wishes though!
