I did take a look.. the dining is beautiful, roomy too! Your sis is a cutie! ANd I wish I had the nerve to go get my tat done.... have wanted one for years.... designed my own, then chickened. I had my tongue peirced in college and I just keep thinking how bad that was (not done right) and not being able to move for so much longer with a tat. I am starting a new hobby for myself and my girl... I used to be very musical but gave it up cause it was very hard to play my trumpet with all this sick going on.... so I am going to learn guitar and sing to her. I ordered a beautiful used one tonight... few friends offered to help me learn.. so I am excited... need an outlet! Do you get a chance to do something wonderful for you?

Just a quick note to say hi! The other thing I've heard a thousand if not a million times that helps PCOS (and you are going to love this) are birth control pills which obviously we aren't interested in at all right now. I never had much success with these as they cause me severe and I mean severe depression. So, of course, obviously, those are not an option right now but my OB/GYN says after pregnancy he has some other brands/types of birth control pills we can try to help control the PCOS (as well as the endometriosis). Hopes this helps :)

Just a quick note to say hi! Well I'm flattered. There are just so many people here who are going through the same thing or who have it worse than me so I don't like I should be held up that high at all, but I am flattered. We're all just really here to help one another out, you know? About the pain when bd, I really don't know if that's what the pain could be or not. I did have minimal pain when bd before being diagnosed with the endometriosis so maybe that's what it was, the cysts. I do know the pain got better when I started taking the metformin and then came on pretty strong about the time the endometriosis issues started so maybe.... it was from the PCOS then initially? I don't know but I would seriously check on getting on the metformin ASAP, seriously.

Just a quick note to say hi! So, instead of trying to focus on the what and how of the PCOS itself I'm just trying to figure out more about managing it. Basically I think glucophage or metformin (same thing) and like you said in your earlier post, exercise, eating healthy, etc... :)

Just a quick note to say hi! The OB/GYN said the endometriosis had caused some scarring on my left tubes but that he got it all out. The OB/GYN said there is no cure for it but that having a baby will effectively put it into remission. He said that after some women have a baby the endometriosis will never come back, some do have it come back and some eventually have to have a hysterectomy. My sister-in-law's was so bad that she had to have on. But my OB/GYN said that this is a very last ditch effort type of thing, sort of last resort. I'm still learning about the endometriosis and really about the PCOS too because the more I try to read about it the more confused that I get.

Just a quick note to say hi! Symptons of endometriosis. Well, I'm new to this one. My sister-in-law has been dealing with it for a long time so I'm always going to her for help and advice. With my endometriosis what led to the diagnosis was extremely, extremely heavy bleeding with a period that lasted off and on for about a month and a half. I also had a lot of abdominal cramping. I mean pass the pain killers please type of cramping because I think I'm about to die. Apparantly (and I'm still learning about all of this) endometriosis is like a weed it can grow everywhere, your bladder, your heart, lungs, liver, whatever. So what my OB/GYN did was an laproscopy. He went inside with a small camera and turned over all the organs to see where it had spread. It can block up your tubes, etc..

Just a quick note to say hi! She said Oh I can tell you take your metformin as precribed because if you didn't then you would have a telltell ring of cysts around your ovaries. So, yeah I would definitely check into Glucophage or better (i.e. cheaper) Metformin. I'm not sure that 800 pounds translates into dollars wise. I know my IUI procedure itself cost $238. Now, that's not counting the meds. that I had to buy to force the ovulation but I was thrilled with the price because I was so afraid it would be in the $1,000s. I mean seriously I stress out and flip out a lot! Seriously!

Just a quick note to say hi! Oh no I promise I'm not inspiring. If you could see how many times I've cried or thrown a temper tantrum I promise you wouldn't say that!!!! It's just that I've had a couple of years to LEARN how to deal with this PCOS garbage. You've only had a few months. It'll get easier. Yeah, I would definitely ask about metformin. It's the same as Glucophage. Metformin is the generic. It helps with my insulin resistance and weight management etc... from the PCOS. It's great. It's not great to get used to when you first start taking it, but when we went in for the first ultrasound at the fertility doctor's the nurse looked at the ultrasound and said

Just a quick note to say hi! So, I really do believe in the Metformin. Like I said though I'm afraid I haven't been of too much help :( Sorry.

Is an IUI a possbility for you because if what you have is a titled womb then maybe the sperm (assuming everything is OK with the sperm) just needs some help getting there ?

Just a quick note to say hi! You're on the metformin already right? It can take quite a while to get used to and to start working. To be honest with you I didn't really notice much of a change due to the metformin until we started ttc. Then the OB/GYN upped my dosage from 500 mg. a day to 1500 per day. He wanted me to get to 2000 per day but my body just couldn't handle that! I was nauseated all day when I went up to 2000 but at 1500 I started taking off weight. Before I went something like 9 months weight lifting, cardio, the works for like 3 to 4 hours a day no joke and no exaggeration and lost like 1 pound. Then after he upped my dosage I just started exercising very light and cutting calories and eating a lot healthier and lost 21 pounds in 3 months. I couldn't believe it.

Just a quick note to say hi! Has your husband/partner been checked out and everything turned out OK? Also, have you had a hsg done where they run the dye up through your uterus to make sure the fallopian tubes aren't blocked? Sometimes when we bd it's painful for me too but I also have endometriosis so I'm not sure what's causing what there. I'm not sure what to tell you. Has your regular doctor sent you to see a specialist? I know the health care system in England is radically different than here in American so I'm not sure if that's an option for you or how all of that works. Maybe an IUI would get the sperm where it needs to go if everything else is normal. I don't know about cost in England but here it's relatively inexpensive. I'm sorry I'm of no help.

Just a quick note to say hi! Yeah, well, I tend to ramble so don't worry about the babbling! What is an anoverted womb? My OB/GYN said something to me about my uterus being tilted. Is this the same thing? He said that if it's tilted then something about the sperm having a harder time getting to the egg or something to that effect? To be honest, I don't really remember because as it turned out my husband has azoospermia so no sperm so we had to go with a donor so they had to do an IUI so they're putting it right in there. I don't know what would help if you're ovulating every month. The fertility doctor put me on clomid and then because I had such bad side effects, femara but from what I understand those will force me to ovulate and if you're already ovulating....
