My name is Sandi (Dragon1973) and I wanted to leave you a short note that I responded to your message about MTHFR and it is true, it is a valid known reason for loss. Both myself and K10road, here on MH have been tested and treated and because of treatment (after 3 losses) I am now 16 weeks along and she just delivered! Please stop by and read my response to your post you put out MTHFR and also check out the group I created on the topic specifically. Message me anytime - I have lots of info for you!

hi, i happened to come across you r post on hetero c677t, i have the same thing. i have had 2 miscarriages, one in june and one in oct. i have one of the best drs in town where i ilive and he said most likely this disorder is what caused the miscarriage. when i do get preg again as soon as i get a pos test he is going to put me on baby aspirin, prometrium and heparin inj. i do have 2 other kids so i guess i was just lucky with them. i am also trying to find out more about this, as i am actively ttc. feel free to send me a message or something..
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, but I looked for that info. on MTHFR and couldn't find it. I just searched online, was careful about the websites I clicked on and found all kinds of information. Sorry I couldn't help anymore.
Hope you feel better soon! I read ur story im so sorry girl. God will bless u with a baby when the time is right. i will pray for u and ur family
I feel your frustration, and even tho my DR told me the 1 mutation "probably" isn't the reason for my m/c's, I believe differently. I just started going to a highrisk OB so we'll see what he says after all the gentic counseling. What are you taking so far? I'm on a baby aspirin, folbic tablet. prenatals, and I'm taking 1mg of folic acid on my own. My DR said it wasn't necessary, but I'm doing it anyways. Altho we're not TTC yet, at the very least my body's on the right vits & meds. Stay busy, that's the only way I got thru the past month & a half. Have a great weekend, Labor day, and fun at the game!
My DR's giving us EVERY test under the sun, because I don't want to go thru a 4th m/c. Altho I had accepted my last m/c, it was pretty hard, and it still brings a little depression in me. I just got over my first AF a couple days ago, so I'm happy to know my body's bouncing back, but we're going to give it a couple months till ALL our testing is done, to start trying again. You're going to be ok. Try to stay positive, I know it's hard, but I really believe things happen for a reason. God does have a plan for us. Praying for you & your DH.
You deserve a big bear hug! I'm SO SORRY for what you're going thru, and I know exactly what you're feeling. I haven't been on MedHelp too much since my D&E July 14th. So sorry this note is so late. I was diagnosed with the one mutation of MTHFR, and apparently it shouldn't be the reason why I've been miscarrying. Do you have just the one mutation? I was also just diagnosed 2wks ago w/ alpha thalasemia, which all i know about that is my red blood cells don't carry enough oxygen to my body. If the hubby has it, it would be the reason I'm miscarrying & not sure what treatment is. Just be glad they found the MTHFR prob, and my advice to you is, get genetic counseling done, which is testing on you & your hubby. CON'T...
Thanks for the note and the friendship invitation. I am up to my neck in home reno's right now, but when things get a little less crazy, I would love to chat with you more about the tests you had done, etc. One of the great things about this site is chatting with others who have had similar experiences. It not only lends support, but "comparing notes" is so helpful as well. I wish you all the best, and I will be in touch again soon. Thanks again. Amanda
i got your post on my post- it sounds like u have had a rough year- to say the least. it does seem to help to hear about others that are struggling because then i don't feel SOOOOOOO alone. thanks for sharing. J
Im sorry disregard that last message, read what you wrote wrong. Isnt that a blood clotting disorder. For some reason i think i have that problem because i can feel when my blood flow is interupted in my legs then it goes away. When i get back home i was going to get tested for it. Well im taking a baby asprin right now just incase, from what i no, a low dose wont hurt the baby if i get preggo. So what does the dr recommend that you do.
Just wanted to let you know I can relate. I only ttc last month since my m/c in june and to see a BFN or AF was dissapointing. Im going to see what happens this cycle. SSBD to you for next cycle
