I certainly hope this trial works well for you and that it isn't too hard to take.  It is wonderful you are able to go to  MD Anderson for treatment......they seem to be on the cutting edge.
You take care, kid.  By the way, your dogs are beautiful!
Peace.

Good that you are so near MD Anderson.  This sounds like a promising trial for you, let's hope things turn around soon.

How in the world did they miss the fact that your cancer is clear cell? Dang doctors! You might be like me then and have wasted the damage to my body having platinum drugs pumped in. I am totally resistant to it and you most likely are too. I am so sorry.

Congrats on finishing your chemo and with such wonderful numbers !  It's tough stuff you just finished and your numbers are really hopeful.  From your pictures it would appear you have some wonderful friends to hunker down with !   They are beautiful.  Please do give yourself the proverbial pat on the back for a job well done, and then give yourself permission to do whatever it takes.  You certainly deserve some time off to enjoy whatever you choose.
Take care, kid.
Peace.

Hope you are settling down after such a long day yesterday!  I'm glad I helped you pass those last few hours of chemo.  You are like the little sister I never had.  Hope your recovery this time is easier all things considered.  Take care

It ain't fun .. but it does grow back.  I am reminding myself of that as my hair is starting to come out in little bunches.  Don't know how long I will wait to shave it all off.  Since I am now retired, I'll only wear my new cute wig when I go somewhere.  Around the house and the neighborhood, they have to adjust .. cause I'm not wearing anything, unless it's too chilly outside.  Take care ..

You are welcome. I truly mean every word I say. I haven't had your experience so cannot comment like the other women do, but as a woman, I have some feelings as to how I would feel if I lost my hair and although men might say they understand, I don't think they can truly understand.  I am hoping that your treatments are all going well and that any side effects (besides the hair loss) are minimal. Please keep in touch and let me know how you are. I might not understand, but I am a good listener/ventor!
Hugs,
Colleen

Hey T!  just saw your clips on the horses and the pink gorilla!  I really needed that.  What a good laugh.  I forgot about the wooly coats they have in winter.  They were so funny and the lady that put it all together is quite the wit.  I notice you're online...if you feel like are real chat call me on my cell.

Thanks for the thoughts.  I do know that I was lucky finding out now until the options of a possible study in the future was taken away by starting another treatment.  I'll muddle through this and try to get back on a Monday chemo schedule (like that as too many people around on the weekend and don't want to have the family around) cause I like the quiet.  I'm picking up Maggie from the airport at 10:30 ish tonight and will then take one of those antianxiety meds to help me sleep tonight.  Opps, also have to take the steroids again.  How are you feeling?  Hope you're feeling better.  Teresa

Teri, off topic here: Do you show in any Conformation events? I've finished a few in Conformation. I admire you for the work you do with dogs.

YEAAAAAAAAAAH!  What did I tell you last night girl?  It is soo working for you!  I am so very happy.  Congrats on a CA 125 of 8.  Also doing the IP starting next week?  Great, know you wanted to.  I guess the week delay is to place a port in your ab.  Extra bonus...no chemo this week.  Let me know the details when you have time.

You're in my thoughts all the time, but especially today.  Hope you're doing well after your 3rd chemo.  Thought you'd like this video from KQED public TV station in the Bay Area.  It's about the cancer sniffing dogs that my "chinese herbalist" trains and works with at his clinic in Marin County.  "Fido Fights Cancer" at http://www.kqed.org/quest/television/fido-fights-cancer
(we'll see if that address passes medhelp watchers).  If not, I'll send it to you another way.  It's really interesting research.
Take care.

You're in my thoughts all the time, but especially today.  Hope your round of chemo goes well. I'm thinking about you!  Shaved my head today...kinda feels freeing.  Look like my pardy cocker with brown and white spots on the head!  Ruff!  Take care and don't let the chemo beat you down...take it easy and enjoy Turkeyday.  Send me a note when you feel up to it and have time.
