Just a quick note to say hi!
What diet restrictions do you follow if you don't mine sharing
I love that line....."like worshiping a bobblehead"!
Jeez....4 years...I think I may have done all the liver damage when I started to drink 6 16 oz beers a day (like drinking 8 beers) EVERY DAY since my brother died on July 22, 2008......My liver, compared to yours, is minimally affected....my BRAIN, however, is another story. I have a very sad, sinking feeling I "killed" my brain with this drinking of mine, (I suffer daily seizures since March). And I STILL friggin wish I could have a Fat Tire on a hot summery day....f*ed up thinking, for sure!
WOW! A fellow female alcoholic. I was lucky that I was able to "stop" when my levels were just "elevated" and they all went back to normal after I "stopped" (I never 100% stopped, just went from 10 a day to 2 every Mon and Fri. Tough disease, alcoholism.
ya, i think a few of the people who were regulars relapsed. but that's how it goes. i'm just glad to be able to help the ones that stop in. i noticed you have liver conditions----are they from alcohol (if you don't mind me asking)? gm
thanks---they're not all mine, but they're all local. it's been a very active season so far and it looks to continue to be. thanks for your input on the forum too, it gets lonely over there these days..........gm
Just a quick note to say hi! i will let you kn ow as soon as i get back
Just a quick note to say hiYes I did go to Karmanos cancer center and seen the doctor, they had to take more images of my right breast to see if there was any changes since my last ones and they toke an ultrasound of my left breast, because she thought she felt a lump , and i told her that my left *** is fine and it was after the ultrasound. But the right had some changes so they are still doing the biopsy on may the 6th and i'll find out the results by or before may 20th. Send out some prayers out for me.
Thank you for responding ... my doctor says cirhossis (still can't spell that) and anemia. But I'm just beginning to research the disease. I'm no longer jaundiced but have been through alot since January. Quite a wake up call to stop binge drinking. I spoke with him about liver cleanses and he advised against them. Seems like the beginning of a long, long journey back to health.
Thank you for your note. That was so kind of you. I came home yesterday and reality hit fast. The pain medicine was about half the dosage that I had been getting and the hospital bed was more useful than I had realized. However, I'm so grateful to be home and to have my wonderful husband who is ready and willing to do anything and everything for me. They didn't let me keep Jr but they did take several pictures of it for me. It turned out to be 23 lbs, a little more than I had actully expected. My stomach is still swollen but alot smaller than it was. Oh and great news! I was able to keep my other overie:)
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.
Just a quick note to say hi! Thanks for the tip! I usually hit the starbucks before I go into see Doc Hutson and Doc Sussman - I'll have to give it a shot!
Hope all is well with you!
Just want to say thanks, you were right my dad has ascites, we had not idea and never heard about that, the doctor´s are now doing some test to see from which organ and what´s the best procedure to follow, Once again thanks for the information.
Thanks for Your kind Words Nicole. I enjoy trying to give back a little to mankind, that coupled with things being slow @ work presently (story of the World these days) affords me random 15 minute pockets of time at my computer.
Keep in touch!
ALTA is cool! and thanks for saying hi ;-) As for my screen name, I "heisted" it from an old Bugs Bunny Warner Bros. Cartoon. Keep in touch!
yeah.....GO BLUE!!.......I hope they have a better season this coming fall!!!
Thanks! I was tested positive for hepatitis A and doctors have told me that this MAY be the caused for elevated enzymes. The pain though is what has me so confused. I have to get blood work to monitor my liver every six months and it is always high but doctors don't do anything. I am not a heavy drinker and never have been.
Thanks so much for your input
