Thank you for your knowledge and advice.  It's nice to be able to talk with someone who has already invented the wheel I'm working on now.  Have a wonderful day!

Hi Frank.  I can't really tell you anything about magnesium, based on any personal experience.  I do know that Lazy Moose is always saying not to bother with magnesium oxide, but use other forms of magnesium.

Good luck in getting the T3 med and helping your symptoms.  Please let me know how it goes.

I'm finding that this gel cap I found works better than the capsules (citrate, formulated for maximum absorbency) I'd been getting - I, too, take it for the aches/pains, but this one has actually worked better for that AND helped  more with other symptoms, as well.  I take it before bed and I've been sleeping a lot better, too; that could be because I just came off a week of 10 hr work days, but I don't think so.

I'd suggest that you try the oxide, since you have it and see how well it works; I'd be interested in a followup, if you don't mind.  This is how we learn; by trying, then letting others know what works for us.
Thanks
Barb

Oh my goodness! Bend, Oregon is where my Aussie friend lives 6 months of the year. I have visited 3 times now, and was thinking of seeing a doc there. Glad you said the doc you saw was garbage. Someone else on the forum lives in Sisters near Bend and they are finding the doctors in Bend aren't all that wonderful either! I love Bend but for medical stuff, I think I will keep away!
Cheers!

Thanks so much for the great info! I've been taking 1,000mgs Vit D/day following prescription doses for deficiency...Last time I took Magnesium, I had a really scary episode with my Calcium. But, that was before diagnosis and treatment for Addison's, so I guess I should be braver now. What kind of B-complex to you recommend? I've been trying sublingual B12, but I'm allergic to the binders...Glad you were able to find some relief with these supplements. Thanks again for your advice.

We're all learning here, every day.  That's the great thing about this forum--the input from so many people with a wide range of experience and knowledge that they are so willing to take the time to share.

Thank you for everything!  I will read the Medline Post.  Sorry you have problems of your own.  I guess when we get over a certain age things just start happening.

I went in the first time with fresh labs ordered by my PCP (TSH, FT3 and FT4).  The next labs he ran those plus antibodies (TPOab and TGab).  And after that, it's been TSH, FT3 and FT4 every time.  I would assume he'd have done the same for you.  Need all that to diagnose Hashi's.

I clicked your profile by mistake and found out:  1) you're from Bend (I'm in Sisters), and 2) we both have Hashi's.  We should talk.
