Hey girl...remember me? I'm so glad you persevered and found the Mayo clinic and a doctor that really listened to you! I'm hoping that the surgery and treatment will be what your cancer needs to be shown the door. Best of luck to you my friend!

Just wondering how you're doing. Haven't heard anything from you in a little while. Hope all is okay. Are you going back to MDA any time soon? I saw where your CA 125 went up on Femara. Did you try something else? Femara was not the one for me, either. Aromasin is what I moved to. I was also wondering if you were still planning on trying to make the Chicago trip. Would love to meet you there if you are well enough to attend! Gail

I know just how you feel and it *****! My kid is 21 and I think he will always need his mom. Heck I'm 55 and I need mine!

Hi I decided to go with surgery and the HIPEC at the same time. So that means my surgery cannot be until Sept. 18th. I am trying to hold on until then, trying to work and hopefully keeping the ascites down. I continue to feel so much better today with the 2 liters removed. I feel really good about my decision to wait and do the HIPEC. I just read your about me. any more news.

I'm so sorry that you had such a hard time on Topo. my oncologist had felt the 3 on 1 off works just as well as the treatment plan you had and was less harsh on the body. I know another lady who's having the treatments the way you were, her oncologist didn't have confidence in the way my oncologist chose to treat me.
Doctors are different and each feels his experience with chemo, will have the most successful outcome for his patients.

No worries Lauren - like I said, I love my country as I'm sure you do yours...we all get a little defensive when it come to stuff like this!
I hope whatever ends up happening there satisfies everyone...I really believe the answer lies somewhere between both systems.

Thanks for the note Lauren...I'm doing better today and every day seems to get a little easier. I'll just be happy when I can finally get some answers and move on, you know?
