I had a left temporal lobectomy for refractory epilepsy in August 2007. Part of my surgery included resection of an astrocytoma. I have been dealing with chronic facial pain ever since, diagnosed as central pain syndrome expressed as atypical facial pain. I'm hoping

I also have adhesive arachnoiditis, and hope to connect with some people who are knowledgeable about this degenerative disease. I recently had an extremely painful flareup, which has calmed down somewhat, but I still have pain, and worry about my future situation.
I love WWII props, classical music, history, and philosophy. And a good laugh or two. Hoping to make pain more manageable so that I can get life going again. Would enjoy being in contact with other individuals who are in a similar boat, or have found answers to their pain issues relating either to brain surgery/central pain syndrome, or adhesive arachnoiditis. Hi!I had a craniotomy to remove a tumor on Jan.3,2011.I too am having that horrible tight,squeezing feeling on the side of my head all day long.Haven't talked to the doctor much about it yet,but I will at my next appt.Have you gotten any answers as to what it is?Any info would be great.You can email me at ***@**** you.
