a routine Gyn appt. following week .It was suggested I have the Transvaginal Ultrasound which indicated a small cyst, perhaps fibroma. I was given the CA-125 test only because I was postmenopausal and cysts are a bit more worrisome at that age. I also had 2 small fibroids, and fluid in uterus neither which should have been there. Ca-125 was low.
A laparoscopy was performed removing the ovary along with cyst. D&C for the fluid and the fibroids were checked out. All benign .. I was told I could have monitored this cyst for a few months, but I chose to have the procedure instead. At my age, it was not a problem to have the ovary removed. I remain on both Ovca and Ovcy boards to share my experience and perhaps ease any fears especially in postmenopausal women having the same anxiety that I had [Less]

I will keep you posted Sandy! Can you believe this weather? Possible snow tonight where I live, lol. Of course, it is that stuff that comes down and melts before it hits the ground. You have to literally be out there when it happens. I have seen it twice in my lifetime here.
I am sitting here listening to Jimmy Buffets new CD, my son gave it to us for Christmas. I feel like a pina colada. Do you think that counts as liquids in the hospital?

Hi Sandy,
My surgery is January 12th at 7am! I am somewhat nervous but will be glad to have answers and feel better again. Yes, it is so cold here. 29 this morning. I am sitting here in my pjs and a flannel shirt and I am still cold. How about you???
