I remember going home that day. I cried. I said if they ever find out what's wrong with me. I have to remember the number 5. That stood for 5th grade. I went into a long sleep. I was told that my thyroid meds should be taken on an empty stomach....preferably in the middle of the night. I currently take my armor between 2:30-4am so that my stomach is empty. Will it still absorb if taken after meals? I have no doctor who knows how to prescribe, but have convinced my PCP to write it. She told me to just go by how I feel. I had a thyroid removal 6 months ago. Tried synthroid, felt awful. Am on armor, but can take only 60 mgs due to heart racing. My TSH is 4.5 so she said I needed 75mg but can't take it. I'm really curious about taking twice a day and after meals. How long after meals? Thanks for all the info!

Just a quick note to say hi! Haven't been on here for awhile. Trying to figure out what the hell is going on with me. I felt (feel) so bad. I FINALLY saw an endo and he took me off ALL my thyroid medicines and said I should've never been on them in the first place even with the hashi's. Said my levels were not bad enough. So I have been off for almost three weeks now - can tell a little difference but not much yet. I have to have a blood test in a few more weeks. Hope you're better.
