y unemployed. I have been addicted to pills since May '07. It started out with vics' then percs' , some methadone every now and then, and of course there are the OC's. DOC for me the O.C.'s but I would settle for anything else, as any addict would. I have pretty much been off the methadone for a few months now. But the w/d is nothing when you have another opiate to replace it. So here I am, one week shy of my 27th birthday, and I'm getting ready to try and beat this monkey off my back. I'm so tired of waking up in the morning and feeling like ****, that is until my meds have time to kick in. I so long for to wake up in the morning, and just feel like getting out of bed, because it's a new day, not because my brain is telling me to pop a handful of pills, or put an 80 up my nose. Sometimes I can't even remember what that feels like, just feeling good, well, just because. I'm really over this way of life, so ready to just move on, and get healthy for myself and my family. This site really is a Godsend for people like you and me. My life supporters have sympathy, and give advice, but nothing compares to the advice and kind words one can recieve from someone who has actually been right where you are, experienced the same thing you are. The people on here can empathize, and it's the best medicine for me to be able to talk with others who've been there:)

HA HA HA.. I just read your mood - I am in the same boat.. I only have 5 years to go (my son is 13) and then Im retiring to Key West! LOL.. Congrats on your week off Sub - you are most likely out the woods with NO problems.. one week is long enough - you would have felt it. Congrats!!
