So true Gristler living in the now is the best medicine for what ails you. We went to my son's house and his new girlfriend made a beautiful dinner, and afterwards played a cool game called "Set". Living in the Now, beats the heck out of living in sorrow. Thanks for thinking of me at Christmas. Glad you're here G. L
Welcome to Medhelp Gristler. I loved your comment to the young girl whose family abuses her. It is so important for young ladies to be mentored from a male, especially if the men in her life are all abusive, so Thank You, and God Bless. I too am suffering from abuse still, at 55 Big time this Christmas Season i'm afraid. But like a forest fire renews the forest, after the tears that put it out, there is hope. It reminds me of the song The Rose, by Bette Midler. If you ever feel like talking, I'll be here for you if you message me.. Liz
