"Just wanted to let y'all know I'm still hanging in there. Physical withdrawals are gone, basically, and things are a LOT better but I have a ways to go. I really don't want to go back, I wasn't living on the pills, but I almost feel like..."
Hi! You got so many awesome responses already that I just want to say you are obviously VERY self-aware and honest. That's is a GREAT start. Your story is identical in theme to ALL of ours (see, we're not terminally unique after all!) We've all stolen pills and lied and made excuses...that's how we know we have a problem. I know you're fear of "no fun", and I used to stare at the TV, too. Didn't matter what was on. It's a crappy existence. So...please please post every step of the way and we will give you tons of support. Screw the secrets! They keep us sick. I never thought I'd be going to a 12 step meeting every day, but I am. It's the only thing keeping me from using pills. I tried on my own so many times. We all did, ya know?
