Just a quick note to say hi!
Hello! Are you on klonapin? I have been prescribed that for a few yrs in low doses as a sleep aid to use once in a while, but never ever knew it was an anticonvulsant and in higher doses might be effective at pain releif! I stopped taking neurontin about 5 days ago due to vertigo. Since stopping neurontin I have had no vertigo. So no more neurontin.
Have you tried neurontin and tegretol also and if so what was your experience? Hopefully klonapin is effective for pain at higher doses with less side effects. But if i take more than one klonapin at night, It is VERY hard to get up the next morning!
just curious what your opinion on is klonapin it. Seeing primary care provider today. Will ask. So excited it might work some.
Oh! I forgot to mention, and it may help others with root canal overfills, chemical reactions, whatever, that a micronuerosurgeon could offer what is called a neuro brain stimulator that is implanted in the brain to alter pain impulses. I imagine to stop pain impulses. However, that is not an option for me right now because I am a self pay. But, with all the side effects of ani convulsants, I may consider. Or for those with insurance it is a more realistic option. This doc said it would be very expensive and no guarantee of results. Probably lack of subjects to study too I imagine, but thought the option was interesting and in existance. Since there is not much I am finding for myself, maybe someone else can benefit.
just shot you a message and it hasn't come back yet.
Hope all is well. Will check my again in a few hrs when I get up.
Do you know anything about blocks? Like nerve blocks for pain in the trigeminal area.
