My psychatrist too says its a symptom of depression. I have been reading around though and alot of people have persistant anhedonia, even when stabilized on medication. Apparently, some find relief in anti-depressants that affect dopamine levels such as Wellbutrin. I have been on an cymbalta for only a week, and I have started watching movies again (which is something I use to enjoy), so I am definitely improving, previously I would just lay in bed and stare at the wall, because nothing interested me. I hope you find some relief!

I read some of your posts and the one about anhedonia caught my attention. I've been feeling so emotionally empty for almost a year now. It seems as if though I can't bring up any sort of emotion towards people or events. I just feel numb 24/7. my psychologist told me that it's part of my depression.
what have they told you?
