I was operated last December and it turned out that what I really had was an endometrima. They gave me the 3-month Lupron shot to control the endometriosis and help the fertility. I got checked a little over a month ago and the ultrasound showed no signs of endometriosis or an endometrioma, and the doctor told me I could start trying to have kids.
It's important that you always get in advance information about the type of cyst, if you have endometriosis, the treatment options, etc. and find a doctor with whom you feel comfortable. There are a lot of ladies here who have gone through similar experiencies and that can help you out.

It's been 11 days since I took the shot and I haven't noticed any improvement yet, but they told me to wait at least 2 weeks before my symptoms improve. I am also taking add-back therapy to minimize the side effects of the Lupron. How long does it take before the hot flashes start showing? I appreciate your response!

I read your post somewhere about Lupron and wanted to ask you how well it worked for you. I had mild endo but very symptomatic, hurt every day, I was diagnosed last year. After laparoscopy I was on birth control for a year, no pain at all! Before my next appointment two months ago I ran out of refills and went 4 days without taking it. It took 4 missed pills for the endo to come back. I was devastated! So now my doc wanted to put me on Lupron since my endo was so small, and I took the 3month shot since my pain was so bad and wanted to be out of my misery.

I have had a cyst on my left ovary since last year and it shrunk from about 5.3cms to 2.2cms. I have no symptoms at all. I also have a fibroid with no symptoms at all. This was all discovered through my annual check up with gyn. I don't know what to do... I hate knowing that a cyst is still inside me... if you can talk, I'd appreciate it.

Hello friend, hope everything is going okay. wanted to send a note to let you know that you're being thought of.
Would also like to tell you with my experience with the problems I had with ovaian cysts. It seemed that every month I had to go to the hospital and have a D&C done. This went on for 6 months. Finally I found a Doctor that would do a hysterectmy, it was the best thing that could of happened. No more problems. Thank god, when they did the biopsy, it came back no signs of cancer. I pray for you that yours comes back the same way....
I am probably the last person, because of what I'm going through, that has the right to say this, but try and keep a positive attitude.
