About Me: Female, 42, Baltimore, MD, member since Mar 2008
My mother was just diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I'm here for help.
My mom went through a debulking, omentum removal, hysterectomy, lymph removal March 11, 2008....one week after diagnosis. Mom started Chemo on April 10, 2008.
Mom has had six rounds of chemo (Carbo/Taxol) and her body is responding well to the treatments. Her CA125 has gone down to 25.5 as of 7-31-08. As of September 2008, Mom was declared in remission. Last CA125 count was at 4.
Jan 2009, First CT Scan and CA125 reading...results pending. PRAYERS are welcome!
You deserve a big bear hug! Meg, I too have had some problems with leaving notes. It is so good to hear from you. I have been thinking about you and your mom. CONGRATULATIONS on the baby!! So was it a boy or a girl and what did you name it. I am also very glad to hear about your mom. That is just great. I know that you are probably very busy now but please stay in touch. God bless you my dear friend.
Pretty well. CA 125 down to 27 from 2900, nothing remarkable on last CT, had another one yesterday so we'll see. I'm still in a clinical trial so I go for chemo/placebo every 3 weeks. Appetite has returned with a vengeance!
Have you picked out a name for your son yet? Nursery ready? Breast or bottle? So many decisions.... He will bring great joy to your family!
