Flecainide is one of the stronger heart meds. I'm not surprised you had side effects. Having tachy for 4 days is enough to drive anyone to the edge. Mine used to last about 45 minutes at 180 and above before my ablations. Considering how long yours lasts, perhaps an ablation might help. Your doctor would know best. My arrhy's weren't that bad and my first cardio pushed for an ablation. They also found a- flutter the first time in. I'm trying to remember - did you say you also had a - fib? That definitely needs to managed. Avoiding stress (with meditation) is good; exercise is good since it improves heart health and also helps with stress. I was doing regular exercise before my Dad's decline. I need to get back to it. I still enjoy yoga. Keep me posted as to how you're doing. Irene

It's true that the heart meds can cause side effects. I had to decide which was worse: the wild and wacky heart rhythms or the med. Right now I'm taking a CCB (Diltiazem) to calm things down because of severe stress recently (my Dad's failing health and death). Normally I have ectopics everyday and brief tachy times just about every day. Occasional chest pain that I don't like. The med helps with all that but makes me feel so foggy brained and tired. Not a bad way to feel when under so much pressure though. Like you, I have asthma and beta blockers are out. Have you tried any med at all? You may find one that helps without wearing you down too much. Again, depends on how annoying your tachy times are. Take care of yourself. Irene
