Welcome to our community! We have a few people in this area Kurt. Where are you living? I am in Millwoods in Edmonton. I would be happy to help you in any way that I can! Hope you enjoy our Forum and its what you expected!
It took about 4 months for my left nut to return to the size it was before surgery (hydrocele sized). Vigorous exercise & scuba diving seemed to help a lot to get it down to that. It still wasn't the right size...not even close!
The work the first Dr. did had grown closed and the hydrocele re-asserted itself. I went to a second Urologist. He performed a "re-do hydrocelectomy" (what he called it). He excised the inner sac and cauterized stuff to reduce fluid production. His post operative instructions were more conservative than the first. I followed them carefully and then some. It never swelled after the surgery and is now just slightly larger than my right (an expected outcome). :-)
Hope this helps.
