"I had a cardiac ablation this February for SVT. The SVT was eliminated with 10 radio frequency burns, but I was left with fairly recurrent PAC's, which I'd never experienced prior to the ablation. A low dose of cardizem was recommended..."
Just a quick note to say hi!
My Dr did tell me that I would experience flutters for at least 6 weeks, but not too be alarmed as this was normal. As I was being discharged the nurse explained that it could take up to 20 weeks to heal and is not uncommon.
I have noticed that they have eased up a little over the last 2 days.
My EP did explain that SVT tends to start with a PVC which then kicks the SVT into place. They remove the pathway that that causes the problem but the PVC still stay the same. Maybe we are just used to it going straight in to SVT that we never felt thePVC before.
I think we need to take each day as it comes and hope that they get a little easier, as it is still early days.
Kind Regards
Tracey
