Medication alternative for childhood ADD

My son has been told that he may have a touch of ADD since he has trouble focusing in school. I personally don't believe it's ADD since I have ADD I can recognize the signs & symptoms. He has great relationships with others and is a very kind hearted 9 year old, he just gets fidgety in class sometimes.
Both his Dad and I do not want to put him on medication at this point and I'm wondering if there are any herbal or vitamin alternative treatments to help alieviate the figeting?
If anyone has heard of anything, please share your information with me. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!

A lot of parents feel the same way and are trying Natural supplements , one recent study suggests that all children, and especially those with learning difficulties, benefit from a Multiple Vitamin-mineral supplement with antioxidants, B Complex and Vitamin C  also Fish oil has been found to work I agree with you and Today it seems that some parents and teachers believe that any Boy who wriggles in his seat and wilfully defies his teacher has ADHD , possibly well intentioned but misguided.Nutrition counts and experts have recommended eliminating common allergenic foods such as Dairy and wheat and then re introducing them.Other useful supplements to consider are the essential amino acids , Put natural remedys for ADD into your search Engine, they will have similar helpful ideas ,good luck he sounds like a great young Boy and if it was the school who suggested he had ADD perhaps you should speak to them,to get tyheir reasoning behind it..
