Skin Burning Sensation -- Adderall Side Effect?

I have recently been diagnosed with ADD and I'm currently taking Adderall (generic) 20mg twice a day.  I've been taking this for about a month now with no unusual side effects except for one which has just recently developed...

This is somewhat weird to describe but I keep getting a serious burning sensation on my skin around my inner thigh on my right leg.  Sometimes it's more of a dull burning sensation and at other times it feels like my skin is literally burning off underneath, and it only happens in this one particular area.  I've even been sitting in class when all of a sudden the burning sensation starts and I literally jump out of my seat because of the severity.

I've looked at my leg several times and nothing seems out of the ordinary.  My skin doesn't even appear to be red or inflamed.  Could this be a possible side effect of the adderall, or is it something more serious that I should check into?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

I just saw my doctor today about this exact condition. Skin hot and on fire, since I’ve been taking Adderall. I’m hoping there is an alternative because it really is working.

Oh, did you start any other med at the same time?

adderall can make your skin feel hot and flushed in general, but you describe a localized burning, so unless you feel an overall flushing and hotness throughout your body along with it, it doesn't sound like it's from the meds.
