Strattera and Semen leakage

Hi, my husband has adult ADHD and his doctor put him in strattera.  It is working for his ADHD but it has loads of side effects (and he cannot take any of the stimulant type meds).  We are not sure what to do about the semen leakage.  He, understandably, is embarrassed about this and has started to wear diapers to work to protect his clothes.  Is this the best option?  Anyone has suggestions.  He has decided to deal with the side effects bc of the clear benefits to his ADHD so I want to support him, we are just not sure what options are there.  I have to admit that watching him put diapers on daily is killing my sexual interest.  ADHD seems to be the center of our universe.  I hope learning more and finding ways to deal with these issues helps us both find our balance.

I know this is an old thread, but I had the same issue back in the day when I was first diagnosed.  Hated Straterra (and all of its various and sundry men-only side-effects) and was luckily able to handle stimulants well.  As I get older though, I worry about things like blood pressure and stroke risk, so I've asked to decrease my stimulant meds.  My doctor has asked me to supplement that decrease by taking Quelbree which is not a stimulant.  Due to my horrible experience with Straterra I was VERY gun-shy about going down this road, but after a almost a month I have to day that I'm VERY impressed with my results.  Honestly, I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but so far I love it.

I also am on strattera and have semen leakage and "mini" orgasm now and then after urinating.

Boy, thats a side effect I have never heard of.  Doesn't mean its not possible.  You might want to check out totallyadd.com, they deal with adult AD/HD and have a lot of forums where you might get an answer.  Best wishes.
