anal rape and date rape drug?

im a straight male..
i went out to a party 2 weeks ago and was roofied.. thankfully we left the party and went to a bar before the roofie kicked in.. at the bar i remember nothing though.. all i remember is falling down and hurting myself, and then a stranger asking me to get out of his car..

i fear that i was anally raped.. im very paranoid and this fear hasn't left me in 2 weeks!!
if i had in fact been raped, how would i feel the next day?? i had no anal pains the next day and my clothes looked clean and on right.. but 3 days after the party, my anus started feeling a burning sensation.. (maybe because of the alcohol/roofie/stress and diarrhea)... and 10 days after the party, i developed a perianal abscess.. i get these from time to time.. i have been having breath taking panic attacks daily over the thought of possibly being raped anally. i think the stress has even given me intestinal problem too.. my intestines are cramped and they hurt..

please, can someone open up  and  tell me if you feel pain the next day after anal rape? or do you feel pain a couple days later??  what kind of pain is it?? mine started at the sphincter as a burning sensation.. now i feel as if im being poked by a pin in my anus.. like a crawling feeling just in the anal opening..
please help me out!

You'd know. It hurt me into the next week. When it starts feeling better it feels really dull at first.
Hope that helps and hope you are ok :(

What happened with all this?
About 14 days ago I had a similar event, however I experienced the SAME symptoms as you... It's unbelievable to what extent the similarity went...
Please tell me if you've visited a doctor and how that went?

More than anything I would be worried about infection. Get tested for all sexually transmitted diseases ASAP.

I'm still nervous about it because anything can happen, as of today i started to feel the same symptoms as you but on Sunday after I woke up i did not feel anything or yesterday, i am able to sit with no problems since day 1 after waking up......I think is panic attacks, i started as well to check my butt every time i want reassurance that there is nothing wrong, when that happens i think about all the things that point out that nothing happened, I recommend that you talk to someone close, I talked about it with my girlfriend and she says I am just being paranoid.....

I just went trough the same deal.......but this time I know for sure I drove all the way from the disco to my house........the security guard at my residence told me I drove by myself parked the car like nothing and went inside my house.......my mom told me that she saw me dressed when i got in.......I still had all my belongings w me......no pain the next day. The problem that I have is that I cant remember portion when I decided to leave (which i remember) and when I got drove (i have some flashback of me driving very fast), i checked my underwear for signs of semen (even smelled em for any chlorine like smell) checked for bruises in my anus or any part of my body and looked clean, thinking of getting tests done at the time to make sure I don't have anything. The way I see it if something happened to me I was no going to be able to make it home, i would have seen any sign of something out of place, my mom washed my underwear (she would have notice something), its not like they are gonna rape u and clean your butt afterwards...........

thanks for all the positive support.. i will get another HIV test on December first. world aids day...  and to rockrose, yes, im a very paranoid person who tends to think of worst case scenarios all the time..  i usually get myself under control with some logical thinking... but this time the anal pains have just knocked logic right out of the window.. how unfortunate? how suspiciously frightening?? how dark???   i still have daily panic attacks and they wont stop until i get a definitive HIV test done in 2 months... but thanks to everyone.your answers have helped me put things into perspective.

You would definitely know if you had been raped that night unless the guy was really gentle with you - which kind of goes against what rapists usually do...
If you want to know your Hiv status current guidelines recommend testing at 3 months after the last risky activity to gain a definitive result..
The average person will seroconvert in 22 days post exposure, therefore your 3 week negative is a good start but you must test at 13 weeks to gain a definitive negative.
RockRose; i was raped a couple of years ago and the guy roofied me.  I woke up halfway through and remember that 2 min section of my night but nothing else.  The doctor i spoke to said it was unusual to 'wake up' in that way and have a clear memory of that period but not unheard of.  Everything else you have said is very true though - none of the scenario mentioned fits with a rape.  Even if the guy had been gentle some pain/sensation is 99% usual.

Lastly deathtoallrapists; best wishes for your results - you should be fine, i expect you to test negative over this situation.  ((Hugs))

Are you sure you were roofied?

I guess I only know the physical affects of girls who are roofied,    so maybe I'm not aware of the physical affect of a guy being roofied.  A girl who is roofied wouldn't be able to walk out of a car,  with a clear memory of a stranger,  but no memory of the rape.  She would be out cold at that time,  unconscious.

It seems to me that you might have been served drinks stronger than you expected at the party,  and you have an alcohol blackout and some well meaning stranger from the bar took you home.

Also, considering you were fully dressed the way you dressed yourself,  and didn't have pain,  that pretty much rules out assault.

In general,  do you have problems with anxiety and obsessions?

first of all, thanks for the replies everyone...
the reason i think i was raped is because i don't remember anything from that car ride home.. and i don't even know who the person was!!... and even 3 weeks later now, no one has contacted me on the phone, or facebook either about this situation.. i fear i may have passed out roofied and was anally assaulted...

and also what the HELL? 10 days after that night, i develop a perianal abscess??  and my anus has been feeling weird.. (tingling and crawling feelings at the anal entrance)  if its some kind of psychosomatic side effect of paranoia, i have to start using this "special power" of mine productively!!

well i got my STD tests back .. and i was clean!! so that got a lot of worry off my chest...  my HIV level was 0.14.. if its above 1.0 then you're HIV+...

its been 3 weeks since that night..so maybe if i was infected, it would take longer to show in my blood?? if so,  I'll go back and do another test in a month...

U r freaking out, causing panick attacks.Trust me if u had been raped u would've known as soon as u woke up.That would b a lot of pain,u would've also noticed something on ur cloths or disheveled appearance. Why did u instantly think u were raped?

There's no definitive answer to your questions, but yes, if you have not been entered before, you would have likely noticed pain immediately after the event.  Certainly, the probing and prodding you did could have caused the reemergence of your abscess for sure.

The only real wise answer here is to follow up with your doctor, both for the abscess and the advice on std testing, as a precaution.  I know it would give you great peace of mind to have someone be able to tell you if you were or were not assaulted, but unfortunately, that is just impossible.  The likelihood sounds low, but again, I think you should be cautious just in case.

thanks so much for the reply.

so in your experience, a rape victim would feel pain in the anus upon waking from the roofie?? and not 3 days later right??  i felt no pain when i woke up, and no pain for 3 days..
(this is important).... i must confess that i was looking at my anus obsessively with a mirror and a flashlight..i was also feeling around obsessively back there, out of paranoia too.. maybe this may have caused my perianal abscess to return??

I'd like to ask if you have ever heard about a rape victim complaining about anal pain days after the rape, even though they felt fine the day after??? can such a thing happen?  or would you definitely feel the pain the most on the first day..  thank you!

Oh my, I'm sorry you went through this.  A couple things I think are VERY important here.  If you are EVER in a social situation and something like this happens, you need to proceed to the ER ASAP to be tested.  Testing to confirm the presence of Rohypnol must be done quickly.  Within 48-72 hours, if not sooner...the faster, the better.  If it is found in your system, you can look into pursuing criminal charges.  Usually being roofied will make a person violently ill the next day, along with an almost complete amensia, like you describe.

That being said, you would most likely know if you were anally assaulted.  If you were never entered anallly, it would be pretty obvious the next day.  Of course, to be on the safe side, you need to see your doctor and be tested for the appropriate STD's, including HIV at the proper times.  Allow your doctor (or a family planning type clinic) guide you in this.  It sounds unlikely that anything happened, and I agree a lot of your "symptoms" could be anxiety related, but it's important to err on the side of caution here.

From now on, be extra vigilant in party/bar situations.  Never leave a drink unattended.  Don't drink a drink handed to you from someone else, etc.  Rohypnol can kick in pretty fast, rendering a person unable to help themself, but if you ever notice symptoms, get help immediately.  Hang around with people you can trust.  There are actually self testing kits these days that a person can test a drink for the presence of Rohypnol.  I think that is something great to keep handy, just in case.

Get some therapy if you need some help with the anxiety, understandable, that was a scary situation!  Best of luck!

Hello, first off calm down. Your panic attacks are most likely a result of fear and anxiety, not of reality. Consider the homosexual way of life, they are free to do this sort of thing. Its very possible that something occurred, but like you said, your stress is causing your panic attacks. Thinking about it, for two weeks, could simply make it worse. I panic a lot, so your not alone in feeling this way. I would suggest talking to a close friend and telling him/her what happened. If you think the pain is physical, and doesn't go away even after the panic attacks do, i suggest a medical doctor. Just for a quick checkup.
