Methadone/suboxine

I'm on 210mg of methadone. My husband is on suboxine. I felt fine all day. Around 11:30 pm he put a suboxine in his mouth and gave me oral sex. About 1 hour later I got very sick. I was throwing up, going to the bathroom, freezing cold. It was like instant withdraw so bad!! I then had dry heaves - I called 911 and was taken to the hospital. I told doctors what happened. They said it wasn't the cause. I was embarrassed to share this. We both have 5 years clean and don't even have sex often but it was after the Super Bowl and we celebrated. I continued vomiting at the hospital for a few hours and I was freezing. About 6 hours later I started to feel a little better. What do you think? Was it possible for the suboxine to pass into me?

I just went to my methadone clinic and told the nurse what happened. It's very embarrassing to discuss this. She said right away I was put into withdrawal. Suboxine is absorbed through mucus membranes in the mouth and we have the same things around our vagina. I said why didn't the doctors know this- she said because they get no training on methadone/suboxine/addiction. The doctors treated me like crap bc of what I told them. I have 6 years clean and my husband and I hardly ever have sex. Him and I work full time, have 2 kids and still I deal with judgement! It was hard to say what I thought happened and then to be treated like I was crazy for thinking that. I wanted to share my experience for others to know and to not have to go through what I did. Unbelievable how sick I was.
