I'm there Zero!! Thank you my friend
Hey rosey we are also starting a group on line here called the big book group im starting to get it more active and we go over all the big and steps and have subjects to respond to ever week..... come join its fun
Yes sir Mr. T. This girl is Never giving up! Thanks Vic. Ms. A is a true blessing. She Knows what it's all about and definitely not cruel and critical! I'm BLESSED!
What a Blessing!!!! I am so happy for you!! lol
Sounds like you found a sponsor to get started with, you just have to ask to make it formal. That will help her too. Since working the steps is all about being our best and perfection is never attained, you are providing a great service to your friend. Keep searching, like I know you will.
Thanks Vic and MYH... Vic I called A about this and she has something like 30 yrs clean . She has a book for me and said it would be wonderful for me to read through it and she was glad I wanted to. She is going to discuss step 1 with me at next weeks meeting! Recovery is different for everyone and she said im progressing nicely! It was great to hear! Because the meetings are so far she also offered to come to my home once a week.... Im stoked!
Rosy, Yes you can get the AA big book and the NA big book..You can get a 12 step book too..NA has a work book too..I also go to AA every Wednesday because we go over the 12 steps and 12 traditions over and over and over. We talk about it to others in the meetings too. Each time we go over a step and months later it comes back around things change a bit as you grow in your recovery. It is good to work with a sponsor too. There are some things in certain steps that you need to work in private. It is all good to go girl..You are getting there and doing great..lol
90 meetings in 90 days when you first get clean. You will see what the fellowship is all about.
Oh. I've only been to one meeting. Guess they forgot to tell me that
You don't do the steps by yourself. They are done under the guidance of a sponsor at a 12 step group..either NA or AA. Doing them by yourself is dangerous and besides, you will not understand them or how to apply them to your every day life.
I know of many people who read the 12 steps way before even going to the meetings, but the steps and book make much more sense when we are actively recovering from addiction and going regular to meetings.
Good luck to you in your journey
M.
