Two farmers in the Ozarks each had a horse. They allowed the horses to run together in the same field but had a problem, they needed some way to tell the horses apart so that each horse could be returned to it's proper stable. Jeb decided he would bob his horse's tail and somehow Clem had the same idea, so again they were in a quandry as to how to tell them apart. Clem tied up his horse's mane in curls but Jeb did the same and so once again they were stuck as to telling the horses apart. Finally they decided to go to the vet to see if he could come up with a solution. Well, Homer, the vet, thought about it for several days and decided that maybe he would measure the height of each horse. This solved the problem because, as it turned out, Jeb's black horse was slightly taller than clem's white one.
