hmmmm. i am not even gonna get started on this thread...lol
There is no longer such a thing as the perfect family and the perfect kin. The perfect family ended the day that Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden.
my sister in law...whose name is KATHERINE...is THE most annoying person on this planet. (i'm hoping she somehow reads this so that i dont have to tell her one more time how "ill" she makes me...ggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
oh you know the type...the perfect mother, with the perfect little family. whatever ! ! ! ! i have to say...that i got the last laugh when her perfect son (my nephew, whom i adore) got busted with cocaine and later knocked up his stripper girlfriend...lololol.
have to say I am a deadhead too!!!! please don't get me started on the weird family members, I would be here all day! lol
yes, dominosarah, it's still alive...the Dead (w/o Jerry of course) play about 30 miles from here for 2 nights in April...I can't wait.
Gizzy..it was far out, man..
Jim
LOL, I don't know Mary, I never thought about it before....ignorance IS bliss!
I wonder if we just became dysfunctional or I never noticed back then ? lol
Ditto!!!! I was the same way...often shakin' my head at OTHER people's families, only to discover in MY fourties that mine wasn't so perfect!
When I was younger I thought I had the perfect family. I didn't realize until I was in my 40's how dysfunctional my family is. My nephew is spoiled rotten and very immature for his age. My mother is showing signs of dementia and acts like a spoiled child. ........and now we are all moving in together. Not to mention I'm smack-dab in the middle of menopause........Oh boy this is going to be fun. AHHHHHHHHHHHH lol
I have always felt like the black sheep of my family. While I knew I wasn't adopted, lol, I wondered wtf they ate that I didn't to turn out so differently! I envy those families where they all get along swimmingly and are just so close, but that's just not mine. I don't know what's normal when it comes to families, but the more I see what other people's experiences are, this seems to be the norm.
I have a CRAZY ex does that count lmao!!
The spirit is always alive isnt it!!!!
Gizzy.......you would of been the grooviest of the groovy's!!!!!! Ahhhh the memories!!!
I wish I could go back before I was born to the 60's for a week and just be a hippy, I am serious, I just think that era looks so cool. I dated a hippie chick once a few years ago and we did some fun things outdoors, LOL.
I'm afraid I'm kinda in a similar boat as dominosarah...at least in my earlier days, less so today but the spirit is still there.
Jim still a deadhead after all these years
Lets just say i have been the hippy go free free person of the family...I better not say anything on this one!!!!! LOL
i am the youngest of 6,so im the spoiled one..all my older siblings are all professionals ($$$) so i am probably the annoying one ...i do have a brother that never visits anyone, hes an attorney so ok youre busy...but when he heard mom made it thru the first surgery he never called and wouldnt return our calls..so he on my **** list...and then there is my one brother who is a jehovah witness(we dont know where that came from) and im always afraid to say the wrong thing around him,or smoke,or say happy birthday cause they dont have holidays..they are all cool tho..
