Dancing with Cinderella

I recently read a post here about a woman driving home from picking up some kind of pain killers and breaking down in tears when a song called Dancing with Cinderella came on. It was about a dad being too tired after work to dance with his little girl (and that is all she wanted to do, dance).

I don't go to pill mills. I only take pain killers when I hear about someone selling them. First person I ever bought from was someone I knew years ago and just happened to see one day. I don't take nearly as many as some people on here, but I do take enough.

Reading the post about a dad dancing with his daughter made me cry hard. I'm a 29 year old guy with a 3 year old daughter. My wife doesn't know I ever take pain pills. I hasn't hurt my relationship with her or my daughter YET.

Not much of a point to this post other than to thank everyone here and especially whoever it was that posted about Dancing with Cinderella. Makes me really never want to talk to my dealer again.

PS I've been taking pills a few months on and a few months off (depending on availability) for the past year or so

I know where you're coming from. That's exactly how my boyfriend and I started taking them...we never thought we'd let ourselves get to where we are now; broke, addicted and fighting to get our lives back. I'm on day 6, he's on day 7. It took us a looong time to get to where we got ourselves, at least a year of casually using, maybe even longer. But before we knew it, people were calling US all the time to let us know they had pills...it got so easy just to say, 'why not?' and buy a few pills, until we were doing it everyday.

Even if its casual use, I suggest you stop now. It sounds like you're ready to and now would be a perfect time since you're not using every day. It wont be hard. But if you keep doing it, you'll get to where I was and quitting will be awful. Think of your little girl and your wife. It can destroy those relationships fast. Good luck!

Hi JT ,

Just a quick  message to warn you that i first started using codeine on off and it quickly turned to a constant on , craving and hunting for my next fix .
I soon started lying to doctors and people i cared about and you will notice that you become more crafty in hiding the 'habit' my partner is a practice nurse in a surgery .

Anyway be careful , dont get caught out , they can trap you !!
