Meditation for those that are in Need

Hi All- I have discovered this wonderful guided meditation.  It is called Yoga Nidra and is meant for those dealing with addiction and chronic pain.  I just did it and after a hellish morning of pain where no meds would help, I feel much better and may even be able to function.

I think it would be a powerful tool for those of you that are in detox hell right now, for those of you that are dealing with chronic pain issues, anxiety issues, or even just normal stress.  Please try it and then post your feed back.
Love and Peace to all my MH friends.

My pleasure.  I was up all night in pain and really could have used it but I couldn't find my head phones and I didn't want to wake my man. ):

Awesome.  I wished I'd had this when I was a newbie.  I'll be using it every day to deal with my pain pre-surgery and post.  And then again when I have to come off all these damn drugs.

Let me know if it helps (:

Yes!!!

It is the first online meditation that I haven't found incredibly annoying for all the reasons you listed.  I've only ever been able to get into guided meditation in an actual class- which is hard for me right now.
It totally calmed me down when I was in pain crisis mode and I actually managed to get some work done from bed (:

Glad you like it Annie- hope some of the newbies try it out and find some peace.

Wow! I just checked it out. This is a REALLY good one & it's brand new. It was just published on July 17, 2014. Here's what I liked about it:

1) no annoying 'meditation' music to break your focus on her voice & on inner stillness.
2) Her voice is relaxing & doesn't have any of the 'effects' that some 'hypnosis' or meditation vids use.
3) the actual Yoga 'points' (chakras/meridians) she visits are correct.
4) In addition to the classic body scan there's also an affirmation/prayer aspect in the end.
5) It's the perfect length! A little over 35 mins. Just as it should be.

I'll be using this tonight to go to sleep (insomnia/pain/detox). Thanks again for the gift! :)

Lu :)

Thank you so much for leaving me a note that you had posted this! I LOVE Yoga Nidra & have been doing it for about 6 years. They vary in quality & length of time but boy, do they help! I can't wait to check yours out.

Thank You! I hope everyone tries this..:))
