My sons Wedding

Well one of my goals was to be sober for my sons wedding. I am 42 days clean today and he's getting married friday and I have no desire to use, so I will be walking down the aisle with both my sons friday night and I thank God and all of you for this blessing.
My younger son is the best man and he will have 7 months sober and he will be by my side.
I am so looking forward to this wedding and have really been reconnecting with my husband healing is such a beautiful feeling. So much better feeling than getting high. I'm going to meetings still every day, I don't post much but I wanted to thank all of you for helping to make this dream come true.
And after the wedding it's right back to One Day at a Time i don't use no matter what, and looking forward to spending more time with my husband noew that i'm clearing up I realize how much i've missed him while i was getting high all the time. God when i think about it i get freaked out that that state became normal to me and it's so far from normal.
So grateful be have lived through it and living life sober is tough but so worth it.
To all of you who are struggling today take a leap of faith and come along with us you won't regret it.

It means so much to me that you are sharing in my joy and grace of being clean. I know I will cry my son picked the song stand by me to dance to and thanks to this forum and AA I will be standing by him.
This has been a long and difficult journey for those of you who have hung in there thanks you've helped make this possible.
Right now I'm enjoying this gift and thank you God no cravings at all. I never want to sleep walk through my life again and now I know I don't have to.

Sharon, what a beautiful post.  You did it and you will never forget this weekend.  You have been given a chance at a new wonderful life and you are just rocking it.
