my son in GA called me this AM with advance notice of my Father's day gift...2 tickets for my wife and I to see Bruce Springsteen in August..then as things went my wife got on the phone with him and next thin you know he's coming up and the 3 of us are going to go to the first show, and he and I to the second!

Thank you Domino..yes, I usually wouldn't say it, but yes after the year this has been, I deserve it, and the 2 people who have held me up most are my wife and my son..I don't know how he does it..
supposedly my "step" kids (I consider them my kids to but occasionally have to separate them...and they consider me their Dad) have some big deal cooked up for

Yes, Totsie, I have a GREAT son..he is my first and I wouldn't trade all the minutes from the day he was born for anything...we've always been close and he's been there for methis last year and I don't know what I'd do without him...I guess we're taking care of each other. I'm so very proud of him, and love him more than anything. and I love my wife more than anything for bringing him up here again...just wish he could bring the kids.

Congrats Jim...sounds like you have a GREAT son...My boys always give their stepdad...something they can use..LOL Tools, new grill, etc..The best thing they can give him is just a day at the lake fishing with them..enjoy..
what a thoughtful son you have, last year my kids said dad its the thought that counts right, and of course i said yes, They all said well dad I thought about something really nice to get you, you would have loved it.
it's great because last year he and my wife arranged to suprise me by flying him and he had 2 tickets for Bruce in Foxboro, MA as a belated Bday gift..Man, was I shocked, and she also arranged for me to fly back with him for a week. which was great spent some great time with him, my grand children his wife, and little did I know, my last visit with my youngest son.
Despite a thunderstorm that held up the start of the show for an hour, The Boss played his usual 3 hour show and it was the greatest concert I've ever been to..So, I'm looking forward to seeing him again, 2 nights in a row, especially with my wife and son.
