Requesting Feedback.....

Hey guys......I am on, yet another, PILLOW search.  I have used just about every kind of pillow under the sun.....but find myself REALLY needing to replace my pillow.  My neck and shoulders are NOT happy when I wake up.
I am a side/stomach sleeper......(yes, I know sleeping on your stomach isn't "good" for me).  No matter what, short of tying myself up to the bedframe, I ALWAYS wake up on my stomach or side.

So, if any of you have a good recommendation, I'm all EARS~

Hey Connie-
I use a body pillow that is almost as long as me.  I sleep with it half between my knees, and half under my head.  This gives my lower back and abdomen the most relief.  I spent around 80$ on it and it was the best investment I've ever made.
It's tough to get out of bed it's so good (:

Connie, I too am a side sleeper. I use a Sleep Number memory foam pillow that has a special dip in it for neck support. That and sleeping with a pillow between my legs to align my hips really helps with the back and neck pain. I don't know how you are able to get out of bed after sleeping on your tummy! I can only lay like that for about 5 minutes before my back is screaming at me. I hope you find something comfy so you can get some good zzz's!  :)

Pillows - they are my specialty.  I have every pillow under the sun.  Right now, I'm lovin this pillow made by Serta.  I have all the $100 Tempurpedic pillows, but this Serta pillow is my favorite.  It has the memory foam crap in the middle, but this super soft wrapper sort of thing around it.  It zips open so you can wash everything but the memory foam.  You can get it at a bed store that sells serta or probably at bed, bath and beyond.  You can special order one of the super long ones for sleeping on your side.  Good Luck!

I remember that overwhelming choice feeling the first time I felt it. Fresh from the Hills, I was in Los Angeles. I walked down half a block of toothpaste choices in awe. I just stood there in shock and confusion, so bought baking soda and ran.

You're so funny!

Have you tried putting a pillow between your knees when on your side? It's a comfy position and may prevent you from turning completely over on to your stomach...which is a horrible position for your back!  xo

Hey guys....thank you....ALL of you that shared with me.

I have bought and tried SO MANY pillows (chiropratic pillows, buckwheat hull pillows, feather pillows).....and KNOW I need a new one.
I'm amazed at all the info and choices out there now....it can be overwhelming....

It's kinda like magazines...remember when we used to walk down the aisle at the store and there'd be like 5 or 6?  Now there are 100's of them!!!!!
Same with pillows......so many choices......and I've been having a lot of trouble with my neck and shoulders being sore upon getting up.  Or my arms or hands going to sleep.....so I MUST get a new one.

Because I'm so detailed.....I found myself reading for HOURS about dang pillows!!!  Finally, I said to heck with this.....I'll ask for feedback....talk to my new physical therapist......and just go do the thing.  LOL

I bought a double size feather pillow and pushed the feathers to one side and sewed it smaller. That gives me enough feathers to wod them under my neck and still have enough to support my upper shoulders and head too. You can buy dense feather pillows, but it costs half as much to to do what I did. Get a real goose down, or you will get poked in the ear by feather quils, it should be down. I like them though, because they change form so easily and can be adjusted to most any position. They are warm in the winter and don't seem hot in summer. Good luck.

I use a foam pillow... not the heavy temperpedic but a lighter one. I use two pillow cases; first one is a zippered, washable allergen type and the second one has a cool silky feel.
