To love someone

Semi-serious question - definitely a social one...

Have you noticed how when you find someone who you love/fall in love with/ Reeeeally like suddenly their little flaws doesn't bother you?

As some of you know I am just like Ross and Rachel - on a break - but I notice when I talk to others that they point out things that would annoy them in my ex... little things.. bigger things... all in all they are trying to be supportive of me which I do appreciate but at the same time I realize that to me those things actually doesn't matter..

Just a thought :o)

Well you sit her down and be completely open and honest with her, if its meant to be, she will love you all the more for it. Screw what anyone else thinks, it's your heart not there's. A lot of my family didn't like my ex, or to be more precise they didn't like certain things about her, we can't please everyone, but if we can please ourselves it's a great place to start. My parents loved her so that's all that mattered to me, I still miss her now, but it's complicated, or very complicated and hard to explain on here so I will just say I will always miss and love her, she knows that I will always be in her corner!

I am focusing on the present and the future :o) and since I'm done with tramahell/tramadevils she doesn't need to be a pat of this -

If it is destined to be us and if it is destined for her to know about all my past well then time will tell... to quote one of my favorite movies - 13. Warrior :

The All-Father wove the skein of your life a long time ago. Go and hide in a hole if you wish, but you won't live one instant longer. Your fate is fixed. Fear profits a man nothing.

I hate to be the devils advocate. But things are better left in the past. As a species, we judge. And as the Stigma of addiction is alive and well. I strongly suggest you leave it be. As for all the die hard tell you're significant other EVERYTHING about you're past..... I'm  sorry... But she no more needs or wants to know about you're addictive past then she wants to here about you're past girlfriends. Do yourself  a favour. If you're TRULY done with it. Leave it be. Cause, as she's a human being, that stigma will always be in the back of her mind. She's only human. No more than if you found out she was a call girl at some part in her life. See... Just proved my point. Let it go. And concentrate on  the future. Not the past.

I actually think that my new active lifestyle is something she find very appealing so maybe our chances will actually be better of after this...

Well - anyways - the new lifestyle is all for me so no matter what I'm sticking with it
