really liked that one ..... You dont quit playing because you grow old. You grow old because you quit playing - -
I am 60 but will never quit playing.....
thanks for the perspective...
This is the best thing I've read in a long time.
I'll be turning 50 in July, and no one believes me when I tell them that I'm excited about it. I really appreciate my age. Age has riches.
You're only young once, but you're only old once too....right?
Oh, and what's that quote?.... "You don't quit playing because you grow old; you grow old because you quit playing."
Mangee, you're living proof! Thank you for making my day!
Actually, in all honesty, I must say that even tho I may joke about getting older, I am actually happier now than I have ever been. I think when you get older you learn to not sweat alot of the small stuff anymore. My kids are grown have kids of their own so that pressure is gone now, even tho I still am concerned, I have learned to allow them to live and make their own decisions in life. My hubby and I are at a place where we know each other so and are comfortable with each other. I have put negatives behind me and moved on and look forward to whatever life throws my way. Getting older actually has a lot of positives that you simply do not have when you are younger cause it takes years to get to that point. So if all I have to lose is my looks! Bring it on! I will forfeit them for the peace in my life now. Hugs Mangee, Great Post!
The people I am closest to as friends are always 10 to 15 years younger than me...I feel like I can relate to them better. I am 40 but feel like I am still 25. I dunno maybe I just don't wanna grow up.
My age has really never bothered me...even the big 40...isn't 40 the new 30???
Great post Mangee! How true it is, and I hope I remember your advise forever.
