yup it sure helped me plus supplemts and eating very healthy
From my own experience I would say low impact activity, such as swimming, walking or cycling helps.
High impact activity like running, for me at least, risks bringing the headaches back and I'm finding the headaches one of the worst symptoms of withdrawal to deal with.
You can deff. try to do something. I mean I know its hard. But I really notice a diff every time I get up and go.Some times it is just to walk to the frt. door and throw a empty bottle out. Other times I just walk around the house. After i started to feel a lil better I started going out even if it was for an hour at a time and come back and take 20 showers. lol hey you do what ever you can to get your self to feel good. But I have been told by tons of people that the more you sweet the faster you can get the narc. out of your fat cells. Just a thing that helped me is i noticed when i felt worse at first i would sit around the house try not to lay down as much as possible helps your body get everything out and go to bathroom more. Then i would go out till night and most of the time I was only going out to go to a Na meeting and every time I go I feel better and better just being able to talk to people that are going through the same thing and talk to people that are already past that and here there is hope soon. 1 day at a time is all you can do. And if you mess up don't worry about it just try again. Were human and addicts it don't always go as planned the first time or second time many of us have to do this for years before they finally make it. Just keep doing your best and you will be there before you know it.
Pushing yourself to get SOME SORT of Exercise is good!! It just seems almost impossible when you just can't even muster up the energy to move but I can can you from experience that it does help... Start with 'baby steps" then just keep moving forward... I found that if I WALK (at a nice clip) everyday. I feel SOOOOO MUCH BETTER... Breaking a sweat is good at cleansing too... Keep your self well hydraded.. and just keep "swimming" forward..
Good for your MIND and BODY!
Hang in there and hugs and prayers your way.
Everyone says, if you can get up and push yourself, get the blood pumpin' and excercise! It will help your brain and body. Stretch first so you dont have leg pain the next day. Do it! I have been taking it far too easy it seems, and I need to get sweatin'. You will get natural endorphines working more properly if you excercise. Take it easy mentally, but physically, move when you can, or when you have the will!
