Girl I can tell you...you are in so much trouble....I had 4 grandsons....and that was bad enough...but I May of 98 I had my 1st grand daughter...and I went crazy buying girl stuff...and tomorrow we are having Christmas at my house...and I think I have her 10 ourfits plus shoes and pjs...plus many other things...OH..you are in so much trouble...and she will wrap you up tight....Congrats....I am so happy for you...
good for you....way to much drama around here...every day there's something new...but that's not what this topic is about...
congrats again to you and your son/daughter in law.
Jim
ex-wife? oh geeeeeeeeez jim...this isnt high school...lol.
i moved away a year and a half ago...ran away from my kid's addictions and needed to work on ME...but i have really been missing my family (NOT THE DRAMA). i think i am strong enough now to move back...at least i hope i am. I LOVE LIVING AT THE BEACH...and i HATE to give that up...but i knew the moment my son told me they were having a baby that i was coming back.
i cant imagine madison growing up and me missing out on all the fun.
Believe me I have/am giving serious thought to moving to Atlanta. My wife doesn't want to but I may just do it anyway..I miss my only son, and my grandkids too much, and I've been here nearly 11 years with my wife's kids and I love them to death...but I'm afraid I've got "Georgia on my Mind"...and it ain't leaving. They're all welcome to come...my youngest daughter will go anywhere I go..my wife won't go because my ex wife is there.
Jim
Talk away!! How many pics have you already taken??!!
aaawwwhhhhh...wish your grandkids werent so far away. i will be 4 hours from madison til june...then my lease at the beach is up and i'm moving back home. (gotta take the bad with the good...lol).
i am staying in town for a couple more weeks and then will be FORCED to leave...i am already dredding leaving her...gggrrrrrrr.
This is just so cool...wants to make me hop on a plane and fly to Atlanta right now and see my grandkids...except it's snowing.
Jim
she weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long...head full of hair. oh i unwrapped her alright...i had to check and make sure she did NOT have a penis...lolol.
thanks sara...from one grandmother to another...you KNOW i am just dieing to keep talking about her :)
How much did she weigh? Length? Hair? How many times you unwrapped her to count her toes and fingers?
I loved reading your story...all my life I wanted daughters...I wind up with 3 boys and my son's first is a girl (of course I have 2 stepdaughters in their 20's whom I consider my daughters and I love more than anything.)
Jim
Congrats on "your" new baby girl!!!
Glad everyone is doing well.
NOW...as far as the 75 outfits go....I guess you qualify for an addiction forum...or would that fall under "retail therapy'??? lol
enjoy and spoil her rotten!!
OMG Lizzy you are in big trouble. lol lol Have you had a large walk in closet built in the nusery yet ? Are we going to see you on the show Hoarders ? I can see you now, just your head peaking up through a pile of pink taffeta. lol lol
I must admit I would be the same way.
Well she surely cant wear the same outfit twice!! Girls have the cutest clothes and i think they play on grandmas!!
mary...omg i hate to even admit this...but since you asked...lolol...by the time michelle was just 5 months pregnant, i had already bought 53 outfits ! ! ! is that ridiculous or what? we lost count after that...but it has to be over 75.
sara...i havent gone that far...just to 6 months :)
I am betting this little precious bundle probably has clothes thru kindergarten!!!!
Congrats Lizzy on your new baby girl. I believe a grandbaby is Gods gift to us for having to raise our own babies.
OK let's be honest.........how many adorable outfits have you purchased so far ? I'm so darn jelous.(sp) What a great way to start the New Year. Congratulations !
congrats...there is nothing like being a grandparent. you get all the fun without all the pains. sometimes it is hard, you want your children to do it your way and times have changed. congrats again, love that baby for all of us.
Congratulations!!!!! And yes, you are in B.I.G trouble, baby Madison will have you wrapped around her little finger (oh, she has already!!??) so very soon!!
I am so very happy for you, your son and your daughter in law...... truly no more of a magical moment could happen during than holidays than the birth of your precious baby.
My very best wishes to your entire family!!!
Is this your first grandchild,We received our first grandchild 10 months ago the hardest thing is remembering they're not yours, and sometimes you have to step back and let your kids be the parents,my daughter and her partner are doing really well but times have changed and they do it their way, sometimes I have to bite my tongue.I found being a grandparent you get all the euphoria you got when you had your own children but none of the anxiety.Once again congratulations and enjoy her with all your heart. Denise
Congrats Lizzie....I can't wait to see my grandaughter (and grandson again)..unfortunately won't be until March :-( There is nothing like a granchild.
Jim
Congratulations... Soooo happy for you and your family!
B.I.G. kisses to the new bundle of joy!
