Monkey jumped off my back the other day (he got tired of going hungry)... thanks to all the encouragement and advise on how to deal with pain by all you wonderful (yes that means you too) folks I can't take any credit or count because all of you helped put me where I am... and it does feel great !!!!!!!!!

119 for me.  I made my wife suspicious tonite because I was out cleaning up my garage until about 10:30 pm.  I was asked that dreaded question by her tonite ( Should I be worried) she says. I say worried by what?  The it clicked.  The day I decided to quit I told her my dark secrets and how they effected me.  Like cleaning the house or garage late at night with such great energy.  She kind of freaked me out and caught me off guard.  Oh well I guess she cares about me.

Vic- you took the words right out of my mouth!!! I was at the drs a week ago and heard this guy yelling about his scrip refills and I was soooooo happy that wasnt me ANYMORE!!!! We are the lucky ones who were able to get out of the addiction hell!!

I have used and enjoyed this forum for almost a year and just hang out and read now.
I am 11 months clean from methadone and 17 months clean from pain killers. I never thought i would be clean and sober again after being addicted to some form of drug and alcohol for 38 years. I am proud of my total clean time but most proud of my first 30 - 60 and 90 days of getting clean. As avisg said, no matter where you are in your recovery, it's something to celebrate about because each day brings more healing to your body, mind and soul.

Thanks Sara..I can't believe it..On Aug 1 I will have my 2 yrs..730days..I can't beleive I spared myself 17,710 mgs..of methadone..I love doing the # thing..I don't even know how many pills I have spared myself..omg..alot!

Sadinmichigan has 721 days off methadone and that is another great accomplishment!!!
