12 Days off Hydro and still crazy dreams!!!

Hello, has or is anyone having crazy dreams as well from Norco's? Please let me know when this will stop. I still am not sleeping well either... When will the good sleep come back? I feel much better now, but these couple of things could drive someone sorta crazy... Ya know...

I have seen so many posts about drug dreams regardless of what we were using. This is very normal. i used to dream of relapsing and i would wake up and thought i had used. Some freaky **** going on inside our heads for awhile, lol. The dreams will diminish, but very common the first month or so.

Congrats on 12 days clean, sleep seems to take long to come back. Are you taking anything for a sleep aid? Have you tried melatonin?

congrats on 12 days. as for the dreams- at least you are having them. that means you are at least getting into DEEP SLEEP mode and making dreams- thats really good. Your sleep may seem interuppted and minimal but it will get better with time!

Congrats on 12 days! The worst is all but over for you. I know that for me Melatonin worked very well for a couple of nights while I was getting clean. After taking it I fell asleep within a hour or so, and slept well for 6 hours, when I woke up I felt great, not foggy or anything like that.

Hi there,

today is day 15 for me clean from a 20+ a day vicodin es addiction.  I am STILL having crazy dreams every night.  For the past week, every night i am dreaming about pills.  Taking them, holding them, selling them, everything imaginable that is related to pills.  I also wake up in the morning thinking that i had relapsed.....oh the games our subconscious minds play with us:)  Hang in there!!

"Drug Dreams" are just something we have to deal with. They do get better as you get more clean days ahead. I know they're frustrating, but try to embrace them in a way. Your mind is trying to fool you into thinking that you're still an active addict. If your mind has to do that....then it means you must be doing something right while you're awake. Try turning bad things around and make them positives. They will get better with time, though...hang in there.
